Very impressive castle! Saw it just now and drove up to it, sadly found the gate was closed, but thanks to this video I got a decent idea of what is going on! Great that people are still preserving it, it looks very majestic and un-Frenchlike, almost English! Impressive vaulted ceilings and beautifully well maintained surroundings. I hope the surrounding walls will also receive a decent treatment; the three towers were all hidden under weeds and plants.

Glorious building. Much of the stones have been carried off. Look how they used mother earth to shield them! Maintaining what's left is extremely important. Thank God, there still are tough and diligent men, who want to SAVE historical bldgs and culture. Thank you for the appropriate music.

No, there is so many castles named "Montfort" in France. If you speaking about Simon de Montfort the Crusader he originated from Montfort l'Amaury.
