  • These are some clips of what went on in the nest of a black-naped oriole (oriolus chinensis) from late May to late June, 2018.
I was unable to tell the mum and dad apart from each other. If you are able to, I would really appreciate your help :)
All footage and photos are my own. I filmed with my iPhone 7, used a clip-on zoom lens in some instances, hence the strange circle frame effect.

I recently got two orioles in my family. Apparently they fell from a nest due to a strong wind the previous day. So my parents rescued them and they are living with us. They have been eating grapes, oranges, mangoes and bananas, or any sweet food, and bird food.

Mine has been building nest, laid eggs, born, feeding till they grow up and learn how to fly before they left my house balcony. It’s for consecutive 3 years cycles already. It’s kinda amazing and lucky to have such a chance to witness it. And now they are building a new nest again preparing for it again 😆

It's not mum,it's dad. Dad is fully yellow with black on its wings and head, while female has green-ish colour and black stripes down the stomach. But very cute video

@@farhanahema9192 I've raised couple of them. I feed them with seed sheedings(idk how to pronounce in english,in croatian it's mekinje, mix of powdered seeds which you mix with water),concentrat, bread and water(but be careful, because bread can spread and stick to it's organs),bugs and food from local animal buisness(food for wild chicks, you MIX IT WITH WATER(I once didn't mix it and the poor chick died). I hope I helped. And they must be warm(wood shedings, paper sheddings, ultrared bulb) If you have anything to ask more just ask
