  • In this video we take a look and first drive of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Premium Package finished in Solar Octane with the Syntex interior. This Tacoma tops the $55,000 price point including the premium package, bed liner, bed step, and predator side steps. The Tacoma TRD is tuned for mostly street driving and comes with the independent coil rear suspension which should help with ride quality. This truck has a ton of features you might not expect in a midsize truck but does come with a higher price tag. Let me know your thoughts below!
    Huge thanks to Toyota for inviting me out!

    It looks way better than the 3rd gen and some people might disagree this is just my opinion and that’s the exact model I want but I want the underground color

    I have the identical truck without side steps. I love it

    This is truck I want. No dealer around me has one with premium package. I don't want or need that extra 2k of crap the port adds on.

      That's interesting. I haven't looked at inventory too much to see what is available. This is one pricey midsize but it's packed with features. It's interesting how a TRD Sport can be priced identical to a Limited though. 🤔

      @@CarsMadeSimple yes the sport with premium package is basically a limited except doesn't have that horrible chrome. Plus the hood scoop looks cool. I want either solar octane or Supersonic Red.

      Hang tight manThe trucks are only just hitting the shelves. They are building thousands of them, so just wait

    That electric tailgate is such a stupid gimmick. I’m glad you showed just how well it works in the cold with a little snow.

      They tend to work great in the dry but I did experience some issues with snow/ice buildup.

    Nice truck and seems like a true workhorse, but $55k is a big ask when you can't really get any adults in the rear seat.

    • @Mark_Thompson
      @Mark_Thompson Před 3 měsíci +1

      Kids no problem, if you're trying to fit adults back there then you need to be looking at the tundra crew max or other type of full size pickup. It's squishy back there for any mid-size truck, Toyota or other.

    Distracted driving is a massive cause of accidents today. That 14" screen must be really obtrusive

    🤡 🤡 $55k for a volume model. That is raptor territory!

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Před 3 měsíci

      You aren't wrong but this has most of the same equipment (and more) compared to the Raptor but obviously doesn't have the same off road capability.

    • @Mark_Thompson
      @Mark_Thompson Před 3 měsíci +1

      Where are you getting a raptor for 55k? They are much more than that in Hawaii.

    • @CarsMadeSimple

      @@Mark_Thompson MSRP for the Raptor is just over $56k.

    • @Mark_Thompson
      @Mark_Thompson Před 3 měsíci

      @CarsMadeSimple we're both talking about the Ford raptor right? That's the raptor I'm referring to. In Hawaii, brand new, 2023 on the low end is 85k - brand new 2024 high end is 107k...we must be talking about 2 different raptors.

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Před 3 měsíci

      @@Mark_Thompson Ranger Raptor (midsize truck). The F-150 Raptor is a full size truck and doesn't compete with Tacoma. They also have the Bronco Raptor which is way more expensive.
