@@ocketspay936 Good Will Hunting is the name of the movie. Robin Williams plays a therapist and tells Will (played by Matt Damon), "it's not your fault" which refers to how Will blamed himself for the abuse he received as a child
I have not watched Good Will Hunting, and when I watched this scene I always wondered why he was saying that repeatedly. A moment ago, I searched Google for this, and now I watched the scene of GWH on CZcams. Watching Famil Guy really requires background knowledge on the American pop culture.
+Jeong-hun Sin Yeah I don't really watch family guy anymore, but its entire premise is based of pop culture from the past 50 or so years, especially sitcoms in the 70's - 90's. As for the movie, if I could have I would have told you not to spoil that scene man! The whole movie builds up to that point, and it totally has your jaw hanging open and eyes watering.
When I first saw this episode, I hadn’t seen Good Will Hunting. Honestly, it’s funnier without context. If you’ve seen the movie you know it’s just another basic pop culture reference. If you haven’t seen the movie, you think it’s just another surreal joke from the crack mind of Seth MacFarlane.
Family Guy using easily the most gut wrenching scene of Goodwill Hunting as a joke feels like simultaneously the biggest insult and the biggest honour for that scene
i never knew what this reference was to. Now relaxing before the new years of 2016 kicks off i watch Good Will Hunting and the moment the scene came on i immediately thought of this family guy skit

I first thought this was just something stupid on family guy, found out it was from GWH and relized they take some of the most serious, emotional scenes and sort of ruin them by making them funny

Sad moment when men see spoofs off of silly cartoons and think that's where it started and then watch movies like good will hunting and say "hey that's from family guy"!
despite the humor in this family guy scene, the scene in good will hunting is still emotional and heartbreaking to see

@stajahwilliams3441 thank you
no
If you say this scene ruined Good Will Hunting for you, then you obviously didnt appreciate the movie enough.
When you see a serious dramatic scene then you remember some shit from Family Guy, it ruins that scene.
Both comments are right

I saw Good Will Hunting first so when this episode came out it didn't ruin the scene for me.
