    We were debating if we were going to do the pre, during, or post on our next trip. This helps as we were leaning towards the post party. For us, the price is more about getting a decent viewing area and any dessert is just a bonus!

      Totally agree the price is for the good view with low stress, the desserts are a fun bonus. I think the post party is a good plan. The after fireworks rush to get out of the park is crazy (the Ferry, Monorails and bus area are way packed.) So getting to enjoy attractions and dinner before the fireworks and then enjoy the desserts as the masses leave seems like a great plan. Thanks for watching. (I did the pre-party because I was trying to get additional sleep leading up to the Half marathon, but if I didn't have to worry about that I'd totally go for the after party.)

    Thank you for the review. I will definitely be treating my family to this next time we are at magic kingdom. It gets crazy around the time for the fireworks and after them so I think we will do the post to let the park clear out some and enjoy some deserts

      Totally agree! The crowds for fireworks are always tricky to navigate so having a reserved spot removes a lot of the stress. And that after fireworks rush to leave the park is crazy so like you said the post party is the way to go to avoid that craziness. Thanks for watching.

    This was great. We go to WDW almost monthly and decided this was great for our daughter’s bday. My only concern would be dealing with having to wake up at 6:45 am to get the que and then first pick with genie+. This usually leads to a departure around 5 pm because girls are exhausted by then. But we have always pushed though. Does it feel crowded even when people stand up in reserved are/? Do they “overbook” it because then it defeats the purpose. Love to hear what others with kids between 11 and 8 have to say. Thank you all

      My experience has always been (and I've done it 5 + times) there is plenty of room once everyone stands up. And I recommend hanging towards the back of the area. Lots of people like to move to the very front and bunch up but near the back you can get a slightly better view of the castle and fireworks when compared to being bunched up at the front. Hope you have a great time. And thanks for watching!

    Hey there, Eric. Whenever i finally do get to go to WDW, i would definitely want to take part in the dessert party. Having those perks of yumny eats and the viewing spot for the show would be worth it. Especially for a first-timer. ~Ali 🎀🏰💖

      Yes I agree! For special occasions and first time visits it is totally worth it so you get an amazing view without all the stress. Plus I'll never say no some Disney desserts :)

    Done seats n sweets. And even though it's a tad more expensive and off to the side. It's a longer experience and you get to sit with still great view. Love doing the dessert party for fireworks at wdw.

      Nice! I'd like to try the Seats and Sweets option at some point. Everyone that I've talked to who has done that one has really enjoyed it. The fireworks are one of my favorite thing about Magic Kingdom so getting a good view (and not stressing about people pushing me out of my spot after waiting a long time) makes the parties well worth it for me.

    Is it difficult for kids to see when people stand?

    • @EricD
      @EricD  Před 28 dny

      Since the majority of the show is happening in the sky they will be able to see most of it, just some of the lower projections on the base of the castle might be harder to see. But no location lets you see everything perfectly, so I think you get the best view of the show from this location.

    Did kids have to be on shoulders to see in the Reserved section? I have a 5 and 6 year old going very soon, and we have the post party booked.

    • @EricD
      @EricD  Před 2 měsíci

      No I've done this 5 or 6 times and only once did I see parents put kids on the shoulders and I think that was just because that parent wanted to have the moment with kids on the shoulders not because it was needed for the view. Either aim to be at the very front of the garden viewing area or stay toward the back. If you are in the middle people can block your view but at the front it is very clear and if you stay towards the back most people naturally move forward. Have a great time.

    HI, we've always done the pre fireworks party but haven't been since the change. Is the post party any good? Which is quieter?

    • @EricD
      @EricD  Před měsícem +1

      I've seen both sell out so in that case I think they are often equally busy. The nice thing about the Post party is while everyone is leaving the park causing the exit to be crazy busy, with lines for the buses and boats you can just enjoy the desserts... But if you like to hit attractions after the fireworks I would go for the Pre party. Hope that helps.
