Welcome to a Coffee and Bible Time! I am finally back with a video and it feels so good to pick up a camera, edit a video, and chat with you :) As you can see my life has changed drastically! I now have a sweet baby boy named Theo. I know how much you love morning routines - so here is one version of what a new morning in my life looks like with a newborn baby. Trust me when I say that most of my mornings do not look the same. Some morning I am not able to open my Bible, while other mornings I am able to spend 20-30 minutes in God's Word. It all depends on the day. I hope to show you what it looks like for a new mom to try and seek God in the midst of a huge life change! Watching this while holding my 4 week old newborn. This video helped me so much 🤍 it’s true there is no routine with a newborn
Take time to enjoy these moments. They grow up so fast. I don't have any children, but took care of lots of nephews and nieces changing diapers, feeding them, taking them to church, helping them with homework, playing games with them. Now they are in their 20s and 30s. Time goes by so fast. I miss those days. Now they are doing their own thing. Which is how life is supposed to be. 😊
From the little bit I can see of little 'Theo Teddy Bear', he is so cute and adorable. Enjoy being a mama, it's the best gift from God - other than Jesus, of course ❤.

Or just rest in silence, you know, we tend to hear God best in silence. But yes, I love that in this season, you are truly learning to let go. You are a fantastic mom!

All of social media is to be taken with a huuuuge grain of salt! You see little tidbits and usually not the hard parts of motherhood. I have 3 children, 5, 3 and 1 and you two will fall into a routine soon... and then your little one will get into a new routine and so on so forth! You're obviously a wonderful mama. God bless you!
It gets so much better Ash! 🤍 My baby is almost 2 and we have a routine going. It takes time for the hormones to level out back to normal, and to get replenished with vitamins. I was deficient in vitamin D & iron. You will get more sleep. 🫶🏼🫶🏼 It’s challenging but so much fun when they are toddlers. you got this! Congratulations on your beautiful boy. 🤍

I’ve been watching your old videos, I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant and it’s been extremely hard (HG, and having my gallbladder removed), I really appreciate this ❤ 2 weeks before I found out I was expecting, I started reading my Bible and praying again. It’s made me cling to God & my health issues have made me cling even more. Wishing you a happy and healthy postpartum and praying for you and your family ❤

Just so beautiful. One thing that I have added to do in my mornings is just going on the piano and play a song or two before I go to do my things for the day. Just a relax few minutes to not think about anything but being in his presence. So great to see you are doing well!

Thank you for sharing! When he was drinking his bottle, his little sounds filled my heart bc I had fraternal twins (boys) 34 years ago and twin A would make that sound. It looks like you have settled in to mommy hood. When things get rough, take a breath in and out and thank God when he gives you a few minutes of extra sleep. 🙏

I've been following you for years and now have three little ones of my own. I can confirm: some eras are much easier to have a routine and other times it's your exact approach -- trying to have rhythms but mostly go with the flow and hope you remember to eat sometimes. 🤣 You're doing great! ❤️

Hello Ashley! Good to see you! It will take sometime to get to a new normal routine. Little Theo is getting bigger. There is a lot of joy in being a mother. This season has been very hard to get into the WORD , with or without a child. Looks like baby sprang a leak.

I lived through a very similar experience being a routine girly. Once i saw how good God was being by taking my routine away and showing me how in control HE is, the season of newborn was so much sweeter. I loooove a routine. I've just learned to integrate a lot differently over the years of raising my son :) raising children is such an awesome way to understand God in a way you cant comprehend without being a mama/dad ! Its such an awesome gift

Honestly when I had a baby my morning routine bible wise moved to a night time routine. It was just so much easier to get into the word when the baby was asleep.

Hi Ashley! Thank you for taking the time to put together this vlog for us! I know doing it especially with a newborn’s schedule can feel very frazzling. I remember those days with my youngest son as I was also breastfeeding on demand and pumping too. I don’t know how I got things done as I felt so tired much of the time, so much so that when I would sit still I would sometimes find that I would nod off and not realize it until I was suddenly jerking my head back up. Just remember the time really does go so fast and before you know it he won’t be so little anymore so enjoy the snuggles and cuddles and the housework will still be there when you get the moment to do it! If I lived closer and could I would gladly come and tidy up for you to give you more time to care for yourself and precious little Theo.❤

Thankfully they absolutely THRIVE off HAVING a routine once they're a bit older. By 1 year old my daughter was into a solid routine which is such a breath of fresh air!!! 🙏🏽
We were planning to name our baby Theo if we had a boy! Such a beautiful name. New born stage is absolutely the most difficult. Not only are you learning how to be a mom but you're recovering physically. I genuinely remember very little of the new born stage since I was so unwell mentally and physically. But I do remember there is no routine! Their tummies are so small they need feeding all the time and lots of cuddles! Which is 100% worth sacrificing the routine for.
