    Pro tip - nobody on a dell exclusively looks for left and right click buttons. Single finger tap - left click | Two finger tap - right click.

      He is actually right - perhaps you should use the new dell xps series before commenting. I have and returned it (and I am a Dell fanboy)!

    I have the 9320 and love it. All I want is better battery life. I think I can safely go pick this up now. Everyone has a differeny reason for needing a laptop. I need this for work as I travel for work. But the only programs I need are Chrome and Sheets. Anything else I’m doing is usually on CZcams. I need something light, that feels good, and lasts long. I have that with the 9320 save for the battery.

      The perfect CoPilot+PC competitor to this would be the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with the Snapdragon X processor & OLED.

    I have the XPS 13 Plus
    I abso-fucking-lutely love this thing.
    I've been an Apple Fanboy all my life.
    Have owned almost all Apple products, and at least 1 Mac and a MacBook of every Generation.
    The XPS 13 Plus is literally the first Windows laptop I've used in my entire life.
    I absolutely love the Keyboard [it is better than the current MacBooks]. Not great like the earlier MacBooks or like a ThinkPad [and even HP Spectre has a great Keyboard], but definitely good.
    Never had any issues with the TrackPad. Its really intuitive. Even the Capacitative Row is fine with me because I rarely use it.
    The looks and the Display are absolutely stunning. The most beautiful laptop EVER. EVER.
    My only 3 qualms with this thing are -
    - Real shit battery life [thanks to Intel; my 14' M1 Pro MacBook Pro gives me almost 2x Battery Life]
    - In typical Intel fashion, runs hot and the fans go brrrrrrrrrrrr like a fucking F-22 Raptor's taking off lol
    - Only 60Hz Refresh Rate
    These new SnapDragon XPS' seemed to have fixed all these issues [and now there's 120Hz Display as well].

    DaVinci for arm is in Beta version. This laptop is not for gaming. Sofware still needs to be optimized for Adreno GPU.
    Of all these snapdragon pcs, my favourite is the surface laptop 7.

    the trackpad and keyboard are not mediocre! FYI. when you point the camera to your face, don't place it so close, that's weird! we can see your nostrils, no one wants that buddy...

    Does the XPS 13 Snapdragon have a program to tweak and improve the audio like with the Intel models? On my old XPS 9343 in control panel there is an app called "Dell Audio" and that uses Waves MaxxAudio and if you enable bass and treble setting it VASTLY improves the sound quality! So does the new XPS 13 Snapdragon also has this as it use Qualcomm's own driver which is different from Intel. Hope you can tell cause really wanna know before buying this Snapdragon version. Thanks.

    I just cannot use any laptop with a bad port support like this laptop. 2 Type C ports and nothing else. At least include a Type A port dongle like the Dell XPS 14 & 16. Hard pass.
    I'd rather use the Dell Latitude 7450 with Intel Ultra CPU. 2 Thunderbolt Type C ports, 2 Type A ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, and 1 audio port. The only thing it sacrifices is an average screen. 300 nits brightness, FHD+, 35 ms keyboard response time, and 70% DCI-P3 color accuracy.

      there are many laptops out there. clearly this was not meant for you. the pc comes with a dongle with ports. macs are not for everyone, so are lenovo's hp's, dells.. etc. no need to hate. just go watch a review of your favorite PCs. simple.

      @@leonmadara3903 It is an opinion on a comment section geared for opinions. It wasn't hate either. Just lack of pragmatic use with such limited port options.
      Trying to police opinions when the CZcamsr themselves asked to leave comments, respectfully, seems crazy controlling.

    • @SoulOfTech

      The lack of port diversity is a big factor of consideration and I think slapping just typc C ports is often a lazy choice made by manufacturers looking to save on re-design costs.

    Dell will do what Dell does, but I prefer something other than their take. It seems to be changing for change's sake, and that is never a good policy. I am sure there will be diehard Dell fans in the comment section who will love it, but there is a good reason Dell sales are in freefall, and form over function is near the top.
    I would not recommend Snapdragon laptops; it's an easy pass on Gen-1. We have incoming M4, Intel and AMD, and they will all be better. But if you have to, there are better options, though they are not as efficient and performant as many sponsored YT videos claim.

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  Před měsícem

      Looks like you and I share a common opinion! I like Dell laptops but the past 2-3 years there has been a downfall in the quality of their engineering. The one exception being the their B2B laptops which I still think are great!

    u could not use the trackpad 😂, use two finger tap for double right click dude, and the touch buttons were introduced for intel high performance chips so that there could be more room for cooling, but they didn't change the design for this chip

    • @SoulOfTech
      @SoulOfTech  Před měsícem +1

      I hear ya. My job as a reviewer however is not give alternative ways to use the product, it's to look at the machine in it's intended state compare with other machines in a similar and indicate what is has or does not have either as a feature or function. If it has touch buttons but they do not work as intended then that specific function is poorly implemented. Would you rather I pretend that is not part of the device?

    Ahh, the XPS aka money trash can. Tf Dell, I hate this piece of overpriced trash. My Envy 16 is better than this piece of sh!t. For 1800 plus dollars you get an IPS OF 130-150 PPI ONLY?????? Bad cooling?? NO PHYSICAL FUNCTION KEYS (EVEN DESPITE LOOKING AT APPLE????)???? NO PHYSICAL ESCAPE KEY? Weird oversized keys on the larger model?? Overpriced heck. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE INSPIRON INSTEAD OF THEIR CURRENT OFFER. I mean it has the X Elite, but the Surface Laptop 7 and the Yoga 7x are wayy better than this. Oh and I am not forgetting that poop like emulation.
    Also, they typically crash down. Their speakers start to pop. You can’t multitask on it. Do not pay over 2000 dollars for the appropriate specs. Dell is gone, even behind Acer nowadays. The benchmarks of it are terrible against Lenovo and MacBooks. A lot of screen door effect. The screen looks pixelated. Discover options from HP (only the Spectre series, Envy 16, Pavilion Plus 14) Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, Asus (beware of their long term quality and support from Asus though) etc.
    This would be great if it was the laptop of the leading Inspiron series, BUT NOT THE XPS.
