There is An Irish singer, Toni Lee, who sings like Karen Carpenter. I saw her show in 2017, in Sittard, a town, in thé provinz Limburg in thé Netherlands. I loved her show. It was about thé Carpenters en she sings like Karen. On CZcams, you can find her performance.

I am a die hard Karen fan. However, there is a 20 year old girl, Tori Holub, that is the closest I’ve ever heard to Karen.

My Choir teacher at Lakewood Senoir High School, saw her at a concert at California State University Long Beach and he told us, that she had the voice of an Angel.
She wil never been forgotten. In thé Netherlands, they still play thé music of thé Carpenters. Thé Chrismas channel, Sky radio, plays Every year, merry christmas darling, one of my favorite christmas songs.
She sings sooo effortlessly. Her voice is like silk. She doesn’t even need to open her mouth very wide! As a vocalist, I marvel at her gift and craft!❤️🔥 I still grieve that she was taken SO young with a vicious disease. I cannot WAIT to her her in heaven and sing harmony with her!!!!💟✝️☮️ Also, I had absolutely NO idea what a fantastically talented pianist Richard was!! Oh Holy Night is beyond glorious!
A lot of people don't know that Karen was a very accomplished drummer as well.
How did that voice come about with no training?
For 50 years,since 1970,the Carpenters have always been synonymous with Christmas.With the heavenly voice of Karen and the awesome arrangements of Richard, that tradition will carry on for decades to come. I just wish that the radio stations would play the ballad version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town-my favorite!

Karen's voice just melts your heart. So sad that she didn't realize how beautiful she was. You can see how gaunt her frame is from the effects of her eating disorder. Despite her suffering, she was able to give us so much joy through her gift of singing. There'll never be another like her.
She was a warm and gracious person in person. And no Auto-Tune!!!

Sadly, it was the managers and producers that took her off the drums and wanted her to be in front. They are the ones that were critical of how she should look and that led to her eating disorder. There was nothing wrong with the way we were raised, in the Cities surrounding Los Angeles County. Downey, Paramount , Bellflower, Mayflower, Lakewood, Long Beach, were law abiding and respectful families and unfortunately, the film and music industries wanted those involved to be at their money making standard that wasn't how we were raised.
Susie you have no taste if you say that. She might not have been your taste but her voice was incredible. And not that it matters, but Richard is straight.

I can't help but cry when I hear angles sing. It's as if she came down to earth just to sing and then she went back home so quick. She was a pure gift to all.

The Carpenter's music is really a constant "Holiday feeling" no matter what day of the season is.
There's something very special with the voice of Karen combined with the custom-tailor arrangements & background vocals / harmony of Richard.
We appreciate their music any season but so appropriate of them to render their yuletide season version! ❤

I lived on her music in the 70's. Her voice is a God talent. I am so sorry to only see her hip bones through that dress as she sang Ava Maria.

I listen to The Carpenters music all year around, but
certainly the Christmas songs are among my favorites.
The Carpenters are unique. From the lyrics, the music arrangement, Karen's beautiful voice and how Richard 's voice was a perfect compliment to hers, to the whole shows their presented and how they could reach all age audience, there will be no other like them.

Thanks for letting us hear this. Remeber seeing it with my Mom an Step Dad years ago. He took me to see the Carpenters in Baton Rouge Louisiana many moons agos. I was 14 an im 64 now. Apsolutely loved it an i tried to dress like Karen in her nice dresses.Always will Love them. 😇😇💝💝

@@katielove9932 Yes. Argee. Holidays have a dimensions - religious, traditional, family and individual, such as we add to the traditional one. For example, someone can eat and eat, someone can watch TV, someone can do sports or go for a walk... Dimensions - religious and family are not subject to change, they are constant and unchanging. I have been adding Carpenters Christmas songs to traditional carols for several years now. I don't think it's a sin. I think Ave Maria, Christ Is Born, Silent Night Little Altar Boy are all right. Carpenters don't block Jesus from me, they're my personal Christmas time addition, and I don't think anyone up there is offended by that. Greetings from Poland. 😀P.S. Karen's beautiful spirit is something we sure could use more of in this country in its present condition. How much better could it all be if we could each be more like she was. Always had a crush on her brother as well.
Now, if we could only convince Richard to release all their specials in their entirety on DVD. They were impeccably filmed, and carry on Karen's legacy, as well as his.
Make that a box set mastered in 1080p blu-ray.

Truly miss Karen !! I was 17 years old when she passed in February 1983. In Highschool. My mom told me when I got home from school. I was so stunned. U only wish that Karen was able to really accept the gifts of her beautiful singing voice. And that she was Not fat or overweight!! . She was such a beautiful person . Her mother favored Richard more than her and that bad creep she married just used her to pay gambling debts and verbally abused her. Causing her even more self esteem issues. Christmas was made beautiful by the Carpenter’s their music and specials . Miss you dearly Karen . Merry Christmas to you❤🎄🌟🎅🏻⛄️❄️🇨🇦🇨🇦😉
