    Can I peel my branches before they've dried, then let them dry? Or do I have to let them completely dry, before I can peel them?

    There are light weight wooden sticks which are easy to break or heavy weight sticks? I have found some wooden sticks which are easy to break. Can we use that for macrame?

      Hello! Thank you for asking. I recommend picking up wooden branches from the ground that have been under the sun for a long time. Otherwise, you have to wait until they are completely dry. They must be strong and not breakable with bare hands. Choose something that is more than 2cm in diameter as you will need to peel the bark. Hope this helps. :)

      You don't want anything wet! If they have started rotting even a bit, pass them by.

    Hi l like your video, and I have a cuestión. What is the baking soda for ?

    • @SilentKnot
      @SilentKnot  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello! Thank you so much for watching. I found that most wood artisans use baking soda to help in aging the wood to make it partially bleached in a natural way plus it’s awesome as cleaning agent. Hope this info is useful. You may opt to use just either bleach or baking soda. I actually prefer the natural way so this video is more of an experiment but happy that it turned out well. 🤗

    Hi and thanks a lot for sharing! I was wondering if it's still okay to use the branches raw as they are found? Or can that be "dangerous"?

    • @Crow5853
      @Crow5853 Před rokem +3

      I was wondering that too. I like the look of natural branches.

      Oh, and one thing I saw them painting them them they might’ve washed them off and then painted them, but they looked in the natural way, but they painted like the natural look too
