- Rockland County Executive Ed Day provided a final update on Hi-Tor Animal Care Center.
Earlier this year town supervisors in Rockland County chose to take complete control and leadership over the siting and construction of a new animal shelter and operating the existing shelter starting January 1, 2023.
That choice by town supervisors severs the involvement of the County when the agreement with Hi-Tor expires December 31, 2022.
