It always baffles me how Tekken always had over-the-top fighting mechanics and still manages to accurately depict a large amount of moves used in real life martial arts
I remember when Tekken 4 came out. I was 16 and as soon as I saw Jin do his 1, 2, 3, natural I was like, "waitaminute! I KNOW this style!" I've been doing Kyokushin since I was 6. Stopped training intesively around 19 when I got into Muay Thai and Krav Maga (I went into the military after high school) but Kyokushin has always been my base style. I'm 35 now and have dabbled to various degrees in Silat, JKD, Systema, Wing Chun, and BJJ, but Kyokushin will always hold a special place in my heart.
I would like to know the name of the movement when the karate guys KO their opponents, who is also the stance Mental Alertness of Jin, that little movement is awesome I cant find it anywhere in google :(
Ryu and Ken’s fighting style is also based on Kyokushin thanks to some sources. Even Akuma is based on Mass Oyama. And Ryu based on one of his former students. Plus Ken uses the Do Mawashi Kaiten Geri as well as the Axe Kick. Plus Sean (being is student) uses those same moves. But Jin’s is more accurate to Kyokushin than any character in fighting games. He is text book Kyokushin.
@@theodore.katsuaki Wrong. Ken’s style is based on Kyokushin and Ryu is based on a Kyokushin practitioner. And nowhere in any official Capcom document does it confirm Shotokan was an inspiration of Ansatsuken. No wikis. Just official documents.

You can easily found it on Google. As a matter of fact, Ryu and Akuma do have similarities with Sosai Oyama in design, training method, philosophy and fighting style.

Jin Kazama is literally Kyokushin with some Kickboxing elements. All the greatest fighters do Kyokushin, GSP (Greatest UFC fighter of all time), Bas Rutten (The true liver king, one kick to the liver your sent to the hospital), Andy Hug (The GOAT of Kickboxing), and even Ivan Drago did Kyokushin as his first art 💀

@@experiencewithmartin972 Well, it really has to do with where you train. But any way, I specified that I was talking about back when it was officially a branch of karate. It has changed a lot since then. Before they changed the name to kudo. I am aware that modern Kudo has little to do with karate. Unless you train with some of the japanese groups which I think still use a fair amount. So do the koreans from what I've seen.

I practice Sanda/Jeet Kune Do, but I’ve been thinking about adding Karate techniques into my craft such as the Roll Kick and the Brazilian Kick. I might ever practice the Katas just for the heck of it.
i think sanda is the most complete striking style, bcus you already have kickboxing technique and takedowns, if u wanna mix it with kyokushin it will be a nice combination, u will have wide variety of kicks
If everyone learn tradition karate regardless of styles kyokushin, or shotokan etc etc everyone would be calmer happier. The world would be karate friendly
Jin is good when U learn all his moves...Lei Wulong you can get away with knowing 1/4 of them. Eddy is just one of those characters you learn how to use to annoy people.

I learned karate since 2016 my karate style is not kyokushin it is shotokan karate but it is not shotokan ryu in a different major style of karate but I want to learn kyokushin the best karate style. Nice video about jin kazama! From tekken! Oss!
Rolling thunder? Biggest reason is it hits hard, the torque involved puts the entire weight of the body into the heal. Second is its a downwards cut, most kickboxing systems dont do downwards cuts because it requires a lot of execution for high risk. Its also evasive, you cant really punch someone in the face or liger while they are doing a somersault. Its high risk high reward, if it doesnt hit youve put yourself at serious disadvantage esp in MMA, but if it hits, youre almost 80% guaranteed a KO.

Hmmm i used to do shaolin kempo. But school stopped. Now thinking not sure should i start taekwondo or kyokushin karate. I am flexible and good with legs so i think taekwondo will be best for me

It’s literally kyokushin style karate with a little fiction thrown in . Same forms (katas) same throws, same everything besides a few moves.

Franck joseph Jin's techs are based on Kyokushin karate while Kazuya's techs are based on Shotokan karate. Both styles are real.
