ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Best described as a tingling sensation in the scalp, which permeates throughout the spine and back, ASMR is a pleasurable, if not euphoric, sensation. ASMR is an uncontrollable, visceral reaction. The same way one might get shivers at the sound of nails on a chalkboard, those with ASMR get tingles at the sounds of Whispering, Tapping Sounds, Crinkling Sounds, Personal Attention, and watching someone focus on a task. Did anyone else notice the irony in this entire video? A doctor tells you that you might have ASMR, and continues to speak in a low, calm voice in a quiet environment to trigger your ASMR even though advising you beforehand, that it could be dangerous.

wow i felt asmr during the entire video but when you went from ear to ear i felt it from scalp to arms down to my legs.
I was going to ask how you afforded such a nice place until I realized the notorious green screen monster managed to fool me once again with his simple trickery.

Good thing I don't work in an office library or anything. I work in a busy kitchen! But I still get ASMR sometimes. Like when people are sweeping the kitchen floors, or concentrating on carefully cutting something up. I get limp legs and sleepy heavy head.
12:14 the tingles! I've been noticing that I only get very strong tingles with deep, rumbly sounds, and not thunder, I meant like, deep, rumbly, scraping-like sounds.

Teeny suggestion when using greenscreen: once you chroma key out the background, you can make just a few adjustments to the color balance of the leftover image (which is you in action), moving the green hue values (caused by the light reflection of the greenscreen) slightly toward red, which will make your skin tone look more natural and vibrant and warm, rather than sickly.

At the beginning of the video you mentioned tingles in the back of the head from asmr? I find that interesting because I get my tingles in the front of my head, right above my ears, and what feels to be deep inside my head. But not in the back.
i never get them in my head. only ever in the tops of my shoulders and then down my spine. it would be really cool to do a study on ASMR. //wishes i wasn't in high school and i had more free time and maybe could have it go toward a uni degree

I have a question and if someone could answer it that would be wonderful. For some odd reason, I generally only experience ASMR when listening to videos. They don't need to even be ASMR based videos. In my day-to-day life, however, I rarely (if ever) experience ASMR. In fact, most noises I truly enjoy listening to through ASMR videos cause me to become irritable if they occur in my life. For example, crinkling noises are my favorite noises when listened to through a speaker or headphones, but when someone crinkles ANYTHING I feel bitter as the sound is annoying. Now this isn't the case with all noises. Pens scribbling and, as this man mentioned in the video, a soft deep voice will send me right to sleep (which is not a very good thing in school I might add). But I don't understand why I will commonly experience these pleasant, relaxing sensations when the sound is produced by a speaker but not often when the sound is created by the world around me. I appreciate y'all reading this comment! I wish y'all a nice day!!!
Well I don't know why it happens, but I have a similar experience. I don't get tingles unless I'm listening to ASMR, through headphones or speakers. Maybe it's just the fact that you trust these people and know they are trying to help you, unlike evil classmates.
