You know, the concept this console was going for back then was actually rather unique and creative, and in a way it could've actually worked!... If they hadn't f*cked it up that is!
If you ask me, the the idea of collecting cards that you scan to unlock new characters and in-game content, it actually reminds me of collecting figures for Toys-To-Life video games such as Skylanders, Disney Infinity, Lego Dimensions, and yes Amiibos!
In fact, Skylanders was personally one of my most favorite game franchises! Sure having to buy and collect a lot of individual figures was rather expensive, and somewhat tedious as the figures came out in waves every few months instead of all at once (but that did give me something to look forward to), but because of how much of an enjoyable experience I had with it, I thought it was worth it!... Definitely a lot more worth than HyperScat!
I guess this was a stepping stone of a concept of Microtransactions + DLC back in the day. but at-least you had something to show for it, you had something physical, not digital, 🤔
True, very true... In fact, I still have my Skylanders collection to show for it!
@@MynameisCharlie Except just about everything to do with games is digital in nature, and Steam sells the games completely digitally and still have something to show for it.
I rather even watch Sonic 06 loading screen, at least it didn't took that long to finish loading

I had one and really enjoyed it. Dunno what ever happened to it but I'm trying to get a replacement.

I actually used to own this console, I remember it being a lot more than in the video 😂
