Canterbury Crusaders v Mildenhall Fen Tigers Kingsmead Stadium 1982

Some now Rare Footage of the Canterbury Crusaders Speedway Team in action at Kingsmead stadium in Canterbury.I watched my very first ever speedway race here and have been a life long speedway fan ever since.......this includes one of my all time favourite riders 'Battling' Barney Kennett a 'Legend' around the Kent Circuit.

My Mates and I were Hackney Hawks Fans, but it was Tradition to go to Canterbury on the Saturday of the Eurovison Song Contest to get away from it. We Loved our Speedway so Canterbury was our nearest Saturday night track.
Enjoyed our trips to Kings mead , sad it closed . Watching clips tonight16 May 2020 cos of the lock down and bbc still putting out a load clips of Eurovision. Thanks for posting Barry
