    Great vid, I just watched another bloke take his diesel pump out - but took half of the motor out as well... glad I found your video!

      Happy to help mate!! Yeah some are pretty easy, some are a nightmare. Easiest one would be the 1HZ Landcruiser one, absolute piece of cake. The worst would be the Nissan ZD30.

    Hi goin through this issue in 2023 great video very helpful thank you for it also the bolt behind the aircon tensioner can be removed simply by removing the pully as there's a hole in the bracket that allows it go through anyway thank you 😊

    Just a comment, When you set the engine on the timing marks ,the engine can be in either power stroke OR exhaust stroke, make sure number one cylinder is on compression otherwise the timing will be one revolution out!

    Not sure if I got the moment when you remove the pump from the block. The atrocious "music" grabbed most of my attention. But thanks a lot for the important tips.

      Gotta have the atrocious music. All the cool kids are doing it, but yeah in retrospect it is a tad loud.

    GREAT VIDEO explained simply :)... i have been looking for vids showing views with wiring harness and individual wire colours matching
    each sensor / sendor ....temp and oil pressure , a/conditioner ect

    • @wilddonkeyadventures

      Thanks man!! Probably won't have much luck with my wiring, i've chopped and changed so much stuff there's not a lot of original stuff left. LoL I completely bypassed the aircon system when i replaced the compressor, i run an adjustable thermostat switch, get heaps colder now. And thank you for your videos also, i've already subbed from my other account :D

      @@AussieManCave Yeah i bought it as a fixer upper from the wreckers, and there were a few things i wanted to simplify as they weren't really working well. But aircon is non negotiable up in Qld summers. I also ditched the glow plug timer box, as it was constantly stuffing up, and replaced it with a simple timer relay and a push button switch. Works much better now.

    Hello, could you help me? I cannot remove the conical piece that goes along with the membrane in a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero. It is possible to remove the membrane nut and access the inside of the area to unclog the cone, the plunger, and raise it. up to restore order, the car works perfectly in low and high speeds, perhaps to recover when changing gears and going up, it's a little bit missing but the car works perfectly, it's great. I bought it recently and now I wanted to readjust the diesel injection, I can't, you can help me? Thank you thank you very much.

    I need to replace my vacuum pump. Do i have to remove the powersteering pump aswell?

    • @wilddonkeyadventures
      @wilddonkeyadventures  Před 2 lety +1

      No, one has nothing to do with the other. You can take the vacuum pump out without disturbing the power steering pump.

      @@wilddonkeyadventures yes, had my son crank the delica van until diesel splattered out and tightened one by one. Done it twice. Recharging battery now as it's pretty flat now... feeling like a deer with no eyes right now (no idea)...

      @@wilddonkeyadventures installed a reconditioned pump with pump timing set as per video (on the T). Does the reconditioned pump need to be timed as per your other video?

    • @wilddonkeyadventures
      @wilddonkeyadventures  Před rokem +1

      @@uurdaddy Yes definitely. The only way you can get around that is if you were to have removed the pump just to do the seals, then you would put a mating mark in the pump and the motor to line it back up. But it's always good practice to do the timing whenever the pump is removed due to wear, etc..

    Great vid! What was the reason for removal?

    • @wilddonkeyadventures
      @wilddonkeyadventures  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Stuart! In this case, the retaining nuts that hold the pump to the engine had come loose. So it started leaking oil and the timing moved. Glad i found it when i did cos i was about to go on a trip.

      If you have set it to the marks shown and the crank pulley is set to the correct position, it will slide in correctly.

    • @wilddonkeyadventures
      @wilddonkeyadventures  Před rokem

      I'm sorry but i don't know the answer to that question. I'd say it will have something to do with the computer on your car, as the compressor would have a cut out for when you are at full throttle that's operated by the ecu.

      Hi @Sandrina-nf3bs, would you happen to have any references as to how you made that switch? Thinking I may have to do the same, but have no idea what's involved.
