Fully Functional Miniature Toilet

- I made the water level in this one a little too high. I was trying to make sure it wasnt super low and it ended up super high.
A lot of people have been asking me to make a video of my miniature toilets flushing so here it is. If you compare how the toilet looks in the beginning with how it looks at the end you will see why i don't make many of these videos. I currently have no way to fire my clay so it never gets a chance to fully harden and become waterproof. That means that water absolutely destroys these when I flush them. Don't worry though, I made this one specifically for this video so it's ok that its all messed up. I will most likely cut this toilet in half and show it in a later video.

Thanks! Technically it's not supposed to be a Rialto but I did model the interior trapway design on one so that it would siphon out easily. I think I went a little too far though because it seems sluggish.

BrettS01 It was pretty much unflushable after this video so I cut it in half. I still have the good half of it.

To make these water proof buy this nice paint I found at Michael's or Target for a few bucks. Here, Tomorrow I will show you what it looks like on Google+. If you watched some of my clay toilet videos that's the paint I used. You may possibly see the paint bottle in the background on the desk. I did not use a paint brush I used a Q-tip to get in small places then used it for the rest of the toilet. I will post a video of my Lego toilet

Fire it in the kiln first and then test it. Also don't run the water too hard since that's a one piece quiet flush you're making. Try it. It should work for ya.
That would help a lot but I don't have an outlet in my garage to plug the kiln in to. The electrician was supposed to come and do it this week but I might have to wait until next week.

No, I almost put rim jets on it but since I was just gonna make this video with it and then cut it in half I decided it was too much work.

I gotta say, good clay toilet. I’ve been trying to make one and it doesn’t work. Usually the water just leaks onto the floor( I don’t do it in a sink)

I used some basic air dry clay from hobby lobby for a while but the problem is that the water washes it away. If you have a kiln or access to one I’d recommend some cone 5 stoneware clay. Obviously you’d have to fire that tho on a kiln like I said. Most people don’t have one so for him I’d recommend a plasticine clay. Plastilina is a good brand. It repels water and never dries but it’s hard enough to make mini toilets. I have used it in the past and a lot of other people who also make these mini toilets use it too. I can link a couple videos from someone that uses that clay and made a few tutorial videos of it. Give me a a couple minutes

I don't make clay miniature toilets like this anymore. I also used to make 3D printed toilets but I don't do that either. I might start again one day but currently I have no place to paint them safely. I don't want to breathe in the paint fumes.

Skywtaker Is here I studied how a normal sized toilet works and basically copied it. It’s a bit hard to explain.

Just add a cup handle on it. Makes one hell of a coffee cup.
