In my DVD boxset of this series the song in this scene is different (And better). Still cant believe an American Streaming service hasnt bought the rights to Love/Hate to bring it to the masses. IMO its right up there with the greats of modern television (Sopranos, GOT, Breaking Bad, The Wire, MadMen etc etc) and is a much better show than Peaky Blinders (Which is really good in its own right). Love/Hate is really something special. One of the greatest TV shows ever produced.....Anywhere. #NidgeWeasel
You are absolutely deluded. Please don’t mention sopranos and the wire in the same sentence as love hate. Love hate is painfully cringe, hardly any of the actors are from dublin and it’s obvious. And this is one of the dumbest scenes in television history , what where they thinking ?
This series is a MASTERCLASS in how to do an AMAZING CRIME DRAMA on a LOW BUDGET ( only 500,000 Euro an EPISODE as OPPOSED to 4-5 MILLION in the US). CREDIT to the actors but also the DIRECTOR and WRITER, Fantastic SCENE BTW. Who does this at a Wedding? NIDGE and his whole gang that's who !
Agreed - I loathe and detest it. I suppose it wouldn't be out of character for a jumped-up gangster to have a tacky wedding. An almost exact replica of it took place in the American version of The Office - same song and all. I assumed from that it must be a regular thing.
@@Uptheroyals80 tough choice tbh but btw was it ever revealed who the father to Mary kids was ? Btw wasn’t it cheeky Mary told Darren to kill the stalker friend of his, then leaves her brother and skips town when he actually did the deed ? What a hypocrite she was
He was John boy and Hughie came to the wedding because Darren was wanting to kill hughie he's just not apart of the brides maids and best man and stuff and might not of been in that scene because John boy was invited too so maybe he was deciding to show up or not but he is there :)
This scene was heavy, heavy cringe. Nidge and Tommy are meant to be gangsters. Gangsters are no gonna be cartwheeling and dancing down the isle fuck sake.
Easily the cringiest show I’ve ever seen. Some of the worst acting out there and when this scene came on, I was genuinely annoyed that ITV recommended it. The comments are mad 😂 who actually thinks this is gritty and good?
Recession vibes
Dont piss on me alloys haha brilliant
Looks like a rubber bandits video
Proper I was waitin to see a fucking horse come outta nowhere

King nidge does what he wants when he wants 😎
Pam and Jim did it at theirs.
Knackers
Swear it was a trend at the time lad you should know as you commented 9 years ago
Great scene. Hot hot ladies.
Plenty of fizzy orange.
Cringiest part of the entire show

nidge doing a fuckin somersault and then those saturday night fever disco moves lmao like wtf
wouldn't surprise me if it's fairly true to life as to what sort of weddings those kinds of people would have lol

JK Wiseman when they first leave the church, the camera pans around to Mary. Darren is standing right behind her next to Tommy.
They shouldn’t have killed off Hughie
Him and Johnboy were some laugh

Classic Rte, copying another show. In this case the U.S office which in itself is awful
You're a fuckin dope

This was before the office eejit
Dancing to forever by Chris Brown was a trend back then chill
Classic John Boy 😂
Brilliant series but the wedding in the church was a bit pathetic
