Companies should pay delivery staff a living wage. Consumers pay for the food and a convenience fee and a delivery fee then you are asked to add a tip. You’re at times spending double what you ordered. The company’s are stealing from these employees don’t be mad at the consumers.
The problem is the companies are absorbing the value from the tips
25% tip imagine 20% is standard nice sized tip at a sit down restraunt in the USA. youre a delivery man, not a waiter/server.
We must respect each others rights because if we dont snd they find out . They will Take them away from us cuz they are always looking to see what they could take away. And once it's gone youll never get it back.

Need more cameras on these TSA. Newark TSA pulled my wallet from by backpack when it went through the conveyor and acted like it was never there. Glad I checked the bag before I left the area otherwise I would have went on my flight without it. I asked them where it was, they acted like I had "misplaced it" how do you misplace something you put in the front pocket of the bag 1 minute earlier? I waited for the supervisor, who said to the workers to "put the bag through again" and look at that, when it went through the conveyor again the wallet was magically was back in the front pocket.
These deliveries just should be thankful they have a job !

Nobody is mentioning that they charge delivery fee . Most of the times is 2.99 .3.99 .
I don’t tip if they charge a delivery . Imagine getting charge 4 .00 then give 3/4 that ain’t right .and usually I don’t take open items . No staple or not sealed I won’t take delivery. Must be sealed from store .

My rule if I pick up I don't tip there is no service they are providing. You don't tip at McDonald's so why. But if they deliver they are performing a service they deserve something

The amount of dishonesty here is mindblowing. Door dash ect... are too expensive. However when i go to a Restaurant 20% for good service, but i do not base my tip on the food just on the service. It isn't fair to not tip someone with good service just because the food isn't tasteful.

These delivery drivers are disgusting people, and they have to be committing some kind of crime by messing with people's food like that. And if the customer thinks that a $3 tip is generous, they should walk the half mile and get their own food. $3 is better than nothing, but it is far from generous. Sometimes customers act like they are entitled to have someone get in their car, wait in line for food and use their own gas to deliver the food to them, along with all the other aggravations that go along with food delivery. Food delivery is a luxury, and if you can't afford it (plus a decent tip), in most cases, you shouldn''t use it.
The U.S. is only one of a handful of countries around the world that find it customary to tip. When in fact tipping for food service can be deemed as an insult. Why? Because the history of tipping stems back to a time when wealthy "white" socialites traveled by train and would tip the " black" porters on Pullman cars for their expedited services. The better the black porter would serve (meals drinks, sleeping accessories) the white passenger, the more they received in tips.
I, as a rule, primarily for this reason, generally don't tip. The other reasons being that wages should come from the employer, not the customer who is already paying for their meal, and the fact that there are many of us who provide services on a daily basis who don't receive tips.

Food delivery to me is a necessity. Also, I'm not the driver's employer. Customers r already charged BS fees on top of membership. No, I will not be bullied into tipping generously. Money is more dear to me, cuz majority of my spending goes to pay for treatments for sick/abused animals.

However, the reality is that the employer figures in the tipping when they decide on the wages that they pay and they often don’t pay a living wage, sometimes not even minimum wage. I’m talking about food service where customers are expected to tip, not like going to BK or McDonald’s. I understand you’re trying to prove a point, but when you don’t tip you’re only hurting the employee.
