I think the Trader Joe's advent calendar could be nice considering a lot of people will be traveling during the holidays!

The upside of trader Joe's is that sometimes they do bring things back. Supergoop sunscreen dupe seems to be available most of the time now.
I think the candle calendar would be a fun one for a friend group or party, like maybe doing it White Elephant style. Let everyone smell them all and then start picking out the ones you want to keep!
I got that gummy bear set last year and the overnight mask got NAUSEATINGLY grainy after only a couple months (and I live in an area with a pretty stable climate too)

Their candles have been a bit disappointing to me too. Good scents but pretty mild throw
Ok i do actually like the chocolate croissant candle, i do feel like trader joes candles burn awful and dont have the best scent throw, but i do like the scents. I also hated the consistancy of the hot cocoa scrub, it wasnt whipped and airy, i did love the smell, but wasnt very exfoliating. I loved the actual feeling of the gummy bear lip products but the scent and the flavor is so strong and nauseating
Btw the sunscreen in the Advent calendar is the dupe for the supergoop

From what I’ve seen, you can decide how much water you add to powder cleaners, less water would mean more exfoliating pieces. I have the good molecules exfoliator that’s a powder, and I’ve seen Tina Tanaka Harris talk about Japanese cleansing powders. I think sometimes they also have an enzyme in the formula so it is also chemically exfoliating as well (the good molecules one does and it’s very gentle).
I'm early early, nearest TJ is 30 minutes away ! These items are making me want to go to one for the first time.
I was at Trader Joe’s on Sunday and passed on the beauty advent calendar just because I had never tried any Trader Joe’s beauty products. If they had the candle one I probably would have gotten that. I ended up with the Lip Balm pack I want to say it was $5.99 for 6 of them I kept two for myself and I love them. Very great balm texture and the scents are clean. I also grabbed a 3-pack of the tin candles for $7.99. I like the one I burned it’s not super scent throwing but a nice clean burn. Sometimes the Bath and Body Works ones are too much for my sinuses.
The best one I picked up was their lip balm kit that had like 8 lip balms to try.

We did the Trader Joe’s beauty Advent one year and my one complaint is they are limited edition products. My brother loved the Marshmallow body wash and then we couldn’t get more than the sample size 😭 feels like they waste an opportunity for people to find TJ body products they can use year round.
