I remember a new 56 Chev Bel Aire in front of my school in 1956 when I was 14... to me it was a dream car... although I couldn't drive back then... all of it's details stuck in my mind til today...wish I could have driven one, but don't have a time machine to return to

Some old lady had a heart attack behind the wheel of her car and rammed into my drivers side door and did a number on old '56. Had to send her to that big junk yard in the sky.

Awesome, beautiful 56 Chevy Resto-Mod. From a time when cars were really a reflection of their owner/builders. Real Americana. Now the young guys would look at that car and say, oh yeah, nice, what is it?
I'm 65, was just talking to my old high school buddy about Car Craft Magazine and Autoweek stopping publication. Young guys these days are all about having rice burner 4 bangers on the street or in NASCAR, or, even worse, electric cars. The car enthusiast world is going to hell in a hand basket. 30 years from now (or less), real hot rodders will be gone. Sigh.
Awesome car!... Beautiful resto-rmod!... I would even enjoy taking on a project like this myself... I just don't know what I would do with it if I owned it... Park it in the garage?... Enter it in a car show?... Cruise the boulevard?...

In the 70s I bought one exactly like the one on the video, for 500.00 dollar’s now days you can’t buy the tires for that money.
These 1956 Chevys are rare compared 1955s or 1957s. GMC workers were on strike from Jan 1956 to June 1956 here in Canada

Digital dash is a great feature if it's done right, which this one was. I'll always prefer the factory analog cluster, though
