He would not have ascended to Daemonhood if he ignored the challenge. Khorne wouldnt have it. Refusing the challenge of a worthy foe to make that final move to ascend would greatly offend Khorne. Either Khul would find himself in Spawndom, or in Grizzlemaws belly more likely than actual ascension to Daemonhood.

Yeah during the red mists episode. He conquered the Red Orb mini moon thing. And then champions breathing in the Red Mists summoned Khul and the Red Orb closer to Aqshy and led an assault.
something I love about khorne is that despite everything, his warriors are still honerbound. if you win a duel against one for safe passage through a narrow valley or such and win, the others just might let you, if you give one a dare, they NEED to drop everything and do it then and there.

I think the issue that always followed Chaos was animosity against each other, so it makes sense that they have these objects to keep that down.

When you say he would ascend into a demon what does that mean? Like was he part of a human tribe living within chaos before entering the fire realm? Also, Why would he want to become a demon if he was already so powerful? Is becoming a demon basically saying you are one with Khorne? Sorry for a lot of questions...I’ve really gotten into this lore and I’m really liking it. Thanks!
Hey good soul, so Korgus is from the realm of fire. (Red feast is a great look at the origin point). The goal of ascension is two part, the first is to become immortal (while a mortal can be given this gift from their god, a demon is truly immortal) and secondly a demon prince is significantly more powerful (lore wise) to his current form, it also as a third side point would allow him to command even more forces (he has plenty of mortals but this would add consistent demons) .
And not necessarily “one” with khorne just “permanently” one of the most favored.

If sigmar was smart y didnt he never tried to beat archaon like cutting his comunication or even trying to blocking archaon reinforcements capabilities by taking the over the all points using military strategy cant be tat hard if hes a god

Hey doug great vid as always. Would you consider reviewing smaller sets such as the spider riders venom clan box as these such boxes act as start collecting boxes for armies without them. Additionally, I would very much appreciate you maybe talking about grots and destruction in general, as at the moment I am trying to find the ultimate ironjawz and Grot army to beat my dads dark elf double wizard cold one knight list. Are you kidding? I've just looked at his warscroll. He can kill anyone in one hit! Seriously - if he manages one wound on Nagash, there's a one in three chance Nagash is just dead, instantly. How is that not crazy powerful? I realise that all Mighty Lords of Khorne get that ability, but that doesn't detract from the fact that a one in three chance for instant death on anything is just gross.
Good luck getting him close to Nagash or similar characters. Nagash will pulverize him before he gets close.
Nagash can easily hide behind any battleline unit and still hit him beacsue he doesn´t have only 1" weapon range (except for his Spirits’ Spectral Claws and Daggers). And Nagash has a 3+ save which means Korgos Khul would have to hit and wound him with all 3 attacks to mathematically inflict one wound.
So yes in theory he could kill someone like Nagash, but practically that will never happen.
Edit: And Nagash also has ranged attacks + several spells.
Oh yeah, I didn't mean he measured up to someone like the big N as such, but for the cost of a standard hero having that potential is pretty impressive :-)

Stop. Who told you that a realm was the size of three earths? You do know that the city of Hammerhal is the size of a continent(or close to it) by itself right? and it is a dot on the map. And if you read the godbeast book, it said Korghos Khul only saw a fraction of the realm of fire in all the centuries he was there.
preface: this is to give a rough idea of how vast realsm are in comparison to our world NOT a geographical limitation. On page 29 of the Malign Portents book it describes that Nagash has skeletons collecting Grave-Sand, the raw magic stuff of death. It says they travel "10,000 leagues or more" to bring it back from the edge of realm to the center.
Again, the intent of the comment from Garagehammer was not to accurately depict the size of the realm, but to givce a clue to how vast these things are. 10k leagues = 34523 miles. Thats from the center to the edge. SO a round trip is twice that (69046 miles)... the earth is 24860 miles around. So that means to go from one end of the Realm of Death to the opposite side is at LEAST the equivalent of 2.8 times around the earth.
Lastly, and i want to emphasize this, the only reason I bring this up is to demonstrate the magnitude of Kul's promise and the work he achieved. The math above is just to get your mind going about how ridiculous it must be for a warlord to promise an entire realm to his god :)
PS: There are sun-realms in Shyish that this math does not account for. They maintain the same indescribable size while giving us a little to chew on :)
To compound the nerd factor...On your math Doug, I believe if it's 3 times the distance that means it 3^2 = 9 times the area. So even bigger than you think. ☺
