Kudos to the sound and light engineers... this looks and sounds insane!
This is virtuosic on so many levels and could so easily become an elaborate flex, but instead it feels like it's genuinely in the service of something soulful, joyful and generous.
Exactly this. I always thought Collier was kinda pretentious, but this has given me a total 180. I ended up here by accident and left a fan.
Taking music and joy beyond even what the great Frank Zappa did.
Let's not forget how good Jacob's bandmates are 👌🏽
I was there. It's as great as the video shows. I studied music, I'm a journalist who covered music and festivals for a lot of my carreer, and can confirm that this is one of the best shows you will ever see. Definitely the best show I've ever been in. You leave with an enormous sense of gratitude for having this experience in your life!

Jacobs is obviously a great musician but it still surprises me how good of an entertainer he is. Getting the crowd involved is like second nature and you can feel the energy flowering off him.

I think he’s an excellent learner more so than anything! If you find some old 2017 pre In My Room live performances, it’s apparent that he has, uh, had to LEARN how to be such a good live performer. Put nicely, lol. He’s admitted to this on a few occasions, live performance is a skill that takes/took practice and attention just like any instrument.

Man, everyone in this is ridiculously talented, but I as a production person myself, I really want to give a shout out to the tour LD. Just perfectly tasteful design, lends itself to the feel of the song without overstepping. Chef's fuckin kiss, man!

He really is a mozart level prodigy with the vocal chops of freddy mercury. God blesses people like him with supernatural talent and he really uses it as a positive force
Jacob with his supernatural powers as a musician is beyond description due to the greatness of his talent!
Everything in this amazing performance is great: the chorus, the bass, the rhythm of solo guitar, the keyboards, the drums and percussion. But don't forget the direction of this movie, which is tremendous, made by a talented Portuguese guy called André Tentugal.

His whole show and this song in particular have come a long way. I saw him in Vegas when he opened this show and again in Boston and he did it differently both times. It's a quirky tune, but each time it had a broader appeal, and this arrangement is really killer. It must be so cool to be on the road and see the daily progression. This kid is something else...
The only thing I'd seen from Jacob Collier were his "singing audience" shorts. I didn't realize he was such an interesting pop artist. What a talented guy! And his ability to engage the audience when he's performing is on the level of Freddy Mercury! I look forward to someday seeing him live, and getting to experience this musical magic first-hand...

Ive just come across Jacob with watching the impressive audience choir. Now every artist has their gifts and its clear that his is that passionate energy and crowd work that just sways the audience. Its very impressive and something that not a lot of performers are gifted at anymore.

Just watched a few videos of the live performances, and I gotta appreciate how talented they all are. Their ability to play instruments, sing, move, and dance at the same time while entertaining the crowd and actually having it be part of the performance is just fascinating.
it's just pure joy and fun; sure some moments the fun isn't as present and maybe even pain and being uncomfortable is felt, but jacob and the rest of the band just keep going and continue to find the playfulness. lovely ❤

It is said that music is art and that art is subjective. Well, it is the subjective opinion of this old bloke that Jacob Collier is a freaking musical genius!
Also, his live performances are something to experience. I saw him in Melbourne two years ago and then again two weeks ago and was of course blown away both times.
No major theatrics, just brilliant musos, and positive energy. Also, you get to join his band as he turns the audience into a choir.

I really hope I get to see Jacob live again soon and Robin is still in the band by then. I saw the show in Cologne in july and Robin sadly wasn't there as there had been a family emergency. Absolutely killing bass player, though to be fair the guy who replaced him in Cologne was also good.
