      Hey thank you, that’s a big compliment! I’m just trying to make real content that actually helps people with their projects (or that are fun for me) and not pander to the algorithms.
      Any feedback or advice for this novice video maker would be greatly appreciated.

    My third time watching this video and just subscribed. I read your bio and thought about the over engineered project bit. I over engineer ideas for projects until they seem unrealistic. This and a thousand different projects currently incomplete or not even started combined with work, side work, house, family and bike stuff with bike friends and I feel paralyzed.
    Your hydro brake switch is slick tho. Props.
    I ride and am paying on a DS that I purchased new in ‘21.
    I’ll throw a vid of my switch fix on my channel, and give your vid info. I’m going to do your fix eventually. Planning to ride the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail in June.
    Looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos especially the DS adv mods one.

      @@Ducky-Bob hey thank you! You are not alone in that feeling, most brilliant neurodivergent minds that are forced into our production line economy try and find value in lots of different areas. Your comment is motivation for me to edit and upload more videos, I have 3-4 at least that I have filmed the entire project, completed them, and I just haven’t edited them.
      Stay tuned, and don’t feel paralyzed - we can’t do everything, but that doesn’t mean we should stop doing as much as we can!

    Maddively appreciate the effort and the thorough explanation here. Super helpful and saved me just replacing the OEM switch through ignorance.

    Very good upgrade and video. I’m sure it will come in handy at some point on my Sled.

      You are welcome! I know I am not the only one who has had this problem, so I wanted to make the job seem more in reach for the average driveway mechanic.

    Great video. Will be doing this mod this weekend. Once question - once you removed the old switch, did you fashion some sort of stop for the brake lever?

    • @ADHDiy_Guy
      @ADHDiy_Guy  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes I did, and I even included it in the video! If you watch from the beginning of minute 8 of the video, I show the new “stop” I fashioned. Pretty simple, no fancy fabrication needed.

      yeah not sure why I missed that - probably skipping around a bunch. Really great video. Thank you again!

    Why can I not find the right one so far ordered 2 new ones that didn't fit

      I’m really sorry to hear the parts you ordered haven’t fit. What year is your bike?

      I ended up using a KTM pressure switch. It was for all models.

    was that footpeg loose like it was moving around a bit? if so, how did you tighten it?

    • @ADHDiy_Guy
      @ADHDiy_Guy  Před 11 měsíci

      Yes it was, but it was my own fault. There are two mounting bolts that hold it to the frame and I only put one of the bolts back when I installed the skid plate.
      I found the 2nd bolt in my garage and was able to tighten it back in place. I have to remove the footpegs to get my Allen wrench into place for the 2nd bolt.
