Kounde is clearly happy at Barca, and he was one of our best performers in the second half of the season. The fact that he is great at RB and also CB is a huge asset. I wouldn't pay much heed to these rumours, Aston Villa would be a step down for him and there's no way he wants that.
For me, he has been our best defender in 2024, and at the start of the season as a CB, he had incredible stats until his form dropped, and he was switched to RB. Keeping him is a must imo.

Yeah I absolutely agree with you, we are not a charity for raising money but with laporta we are slowly moving towards that, we are one of the biggest clubs in the world and our position must be in having the best players in the world not trying to get rid of them instead for the love of money

I would like him to stay, but as a right back. His performance improved towards the end of the season and he proved that he can shut down Mbappe and Vini Jr.

Must Keep, a hard worker has been arguably the best DEFENSIVE right back in the world, and tbf I think the idea he cant play center back is a myth, at the start of the season he was one of the best center backs in the world prior to his injury. Considering his versatility, his great ball distribution and his elite defensive capabilities with his age its honestly a no brainer in my opinion.

I think more talk should be around the medical staff, it is not normal, that our players are always physically weak, and they get injured hell of a lot. Transfers are talked about a lot because, there is money involve.

I don’t think he will ever figure prominently at cb. He is better at rb. The reason not to sell him is that we paid €55 million for him from Sevilla. If we sell him for less it is a loss that will hurt our ffp. If he is willing to play at RB, I would keep him.

We haven’t heard rumors of him being unhappy due to him being used as a right back , so that might mean he is happy at the club. So as long as that’s the case i don’t think we should sell him.

To be honest he's playing perfectly as a defensive right back but selling him is an option if barca can sign a world class right back, who can defend as well as attack running on the flanks, so I would go for Frimpong, as he's good defensively and a beast offensively.
We have not depended on Kounde at CB since he's arrived so selling him is not going to be that big of a loss to the team as long as we fill the RB role with quality. CB positions are the one area we don't need help at. Araujo, Cubarsi, Christensen and Inigo have all performed there as well as the rise of Faye.

I think Xavi making kounde play as a right back is a similar case to Mascherano, Messi, Puyol etc who all changed their natural positions & become legends at Barcelona. I want him to stay! & there aren't many right back options out there that we can afford.

If any of Lewandowski, Cancelo, Felix or Ter Stegen are kept & any other player forced off from the club for the big buck. Then we are just not serious about winning anything next season. Why ? Because any other big name is a vital and trustable piece of the squad be it a starter or bench player (Roberto included). Replacing them would mean either degrading in quality or losing depth. But the aforementioned earners do not provide anything substantial, are unreliable at the big stages and do not have the quality anymore to take the club to the next level.

Kounde cannot leave as he is our best right back at the moment. Next season should be Kounde starting RB, J. Aroujo as his deputy. While H. Fort gained more 1st team experience at both RB and LB so he can be ready to take over if Kounde decides to leave or becomes too expensive in the future.

Kounde should accept being a RB even with his national team he plays there and he is the perfect partner to play with Lamine who doesnt need that much help on the flank
No offence to Aston Villa but they had a one time wonderseason because they raided Leicester last summer and next season they will be in bottom half once more as they get raided by the other top PL club this summer, even if they buy a couple excellent players. It would be a massive mistake for someone of Kounde's quality to get sucked into a mid table team (at best) that is bound to spiral down. That is one sure fire way to end your top flight career as a defender.
