I love avril so much, my favorite albums are definitely let go and under my skin but also the best damn thing and avril lavigne were such masterpieces. I grew up with her music, she means so much to me . I've been waiting for love sux, looking forward to it for so long and in the end I think I was a little underwhelmed by most songs. Don't get me wrong it's still avril, she can't make bad songs but I expected so much more because she's so talented and her music is so unique and powerful. I only really enjoyed Avalanche, bois lie and deja vu. I like f.u, love sux and cannonball but the rest of the album just doesn't do it for me , bite me and kiss me like the world is ending are also good but not the level of music I wished for avril to release and I don't like the rest of the songs, I'm sorry queen . It's still a fun album of course and not bad at all, just kinda mediocre I'm a mess however is such a lovely song, I definitely prefer this kind of music for her. Loved that song
Let Go and Under My Skin are just out of this world 😍 I also grew up listening to her and have always been inspired by her! Toooottaly agree with you that this album was quite underwhelming, that was part of the reason I also gave myself more time to listen to it before ranking the songs 😅 like somehow I feel like her older albums were a lot more mature in sound and composition, and while the songs on Love Sux are fun, I feel like they lack the depth that we know she can bring in her song writing. I was so excited with I'm a Mess because it already felt more evolved than Love Sux, so I'm excited to hear what's going to come in her next album!🥰
This was unfortunately Avril’s weakest album in my opinion but there’s still a few gems to come back to despite that. Also glad to see you finally finished all the ranking I really enjoyed watching them 😊👍

I had actually thought about doing that but wasn't sure I had enough interesting things to say to make a video 😅 that and I've been caught up on all the Taylor Swift stuff, but now that you're suggesting it maybe I will actually make it :) but overall I really liked I'm a mess, when I first heard it I literally SCREAMED during the bridge 😅 the way her vocals are showed off and how they compliment Yungbluds, i just looved that dynamic! I really hope we get more of this type of sound on the next record 😍
If I have to be 100% sincere, I was a bit dissappointed with the album. I dont know if its the overproduction or the whole sound but it felt a bit generic and "so whatever" 😂 idk, I expected a bit more of Avril, I thought she was going to return to her rock side with more deepness or maturity... but even though its not my fav album Im happy shes back 🥲❤️
hahah yeah I totally know what you mean, I did feel like there was a level of maturity missing from this album, which was a main element in a lot of her early work like let go and under my skin. I feel like this album was more about her having fun, which is great for her like you said i'm also just happy that she's back 🥰🥰 and she'll be putting out some new music soon again it seems, so I hope we get something with some more depth and dimension!
Again I see you have the tendency to rank each album separately so on every you have like 3-5 top tier songs but that's not realistic. This is the only album I haven't listen to as much so I don't have a clear thought on it, but I know that it's 4th best for me for sure but I'd say again that unfortunately there's no top tier song here. Bite me is clearly the best one in second tier, along with Cannonball and Bois lie. Dare to love me is a she's like so whatever tier and every other song s mid tier.
hiii - ah yeah I thought about this later, that I really ranked these songs in relation to the whole album and not necessarily thinking about her career as a whole - because you're right! I mean even this album when it came out i really got into it for a bit but now I actually never listen to it - as opposed to let go/under my skin/selftitled - which i listen to all the time still ahah. Maybe it would be interesting just do one big ranking of all her songs but I just need to learn to not rant so much cause these videos end up sooo long 🥹
