    Dependability and communication. Yes! Just had quite the experience where I was left hanging for so long that I finished up all my bookkeeping and took away their job! Once they finally did get a year of it done, I knew I could do better. There was no communication as well. The return was printed out and not even gone over with me before I came down to pick it up. It is completely useless to me other than knowing that I can do better. When I asked what percentage we were going with (home based business, the lady replied, it changes every year. That's not an answer other than telling me that she's not going to openly communicate with me, the one who is ultimately responsible for the tax bill, not good. The red flags in relationships are just as important with business!

    So what you are saying is the two soft skills are more profitable than the technical skills you acquired for thousands of dollars from college? If that's the case, why go to college when you can learn accounting yourself online and start your own bookkeeping business with strong dependability and communication skills without any student loan debt.

    • @LearnBookkeepingToday
      @LearnBookkeepingToday  Před rokem

      Dependability and communication will give you an advantage in getting and keeping clients or a job, but you still definitely need to be able to “do the actual work” properly. Unless someone wants the CPA designation, there are certainly ways to acquire technical accounting skills outside of going to college.
