13 Ultra-Violent Batman Animated Moments Where He Unleashed His Berserker Rage!

  • One of the biggest reasons why Batman is one of the most beloved superheroes is because he is a regular man with no superpowers. Not just that, but his moral code of never killing or him never using a gun can be seen as a severe handicap against lethal villains who do not fret over taking lives or make millions of dollars out of their marksmanship.
With his expert skills in martial arts and a rogue gallery with some of the most lethal and brutal villains, Batman has gotten involved in his fair share of brutal fights. And often, he has kicked the defense to the curb to absolutely decimitate his opponents or stand tall against more competent villains. The Dark Knight has bloodied his enemies, almost killed the Joker, broken several bones, and dropped villains from several stories above. The only reason why the faces didn’t look as battered as the blows is because the animated movies are PG-13. But one look at the hands Bruce is throwing and you’d know that in a real life situation , his opponent would be toast.
In this video, we are going to list down 13 such fights where Batman went absolutely ballistic, be it of his own accord while being calm or in a state of emotional frenzy.

Also, main continuity Batman/Bruce Wayne does have a history with Gordon, since he returned to Gotham, and, Gordon knows he MAY be a vigilante, BUT, when it's something important, he can count on Batman to do it by the book! I wonder, though, if having a vigilante involved in a case, complicates things, like, can he give evidence or testimony, in a Court of Law!?

His stubbornness is why he's my favorite. His moral code isn't just a Batman rule, in truth it was originally a DC rule. But Batman works with it best because it shows he's truly insane in a different way then everyone else. He knows deep down he can't stop all the criminals permanently without killing them but he tries anyways because he ultimately fears becoming just like the man that killed his parents, which is his biggest weakness. Unlike other superheroes with specific weaknesses like a rare stone or whatever, batman's weakness is an existential moral dilemma tied to his mental psyche

I honestly think the Ben Afflick Batman in the Warehouse scene in Batman Vs Superman was about as lethal and Brutal as Batman could be in a live action movie. Batman used deception and darkness to disarm and disorientate the thugs at the beginning, Batman used the suits full potential to more then likely break bones, deal concussions and throw bodys through walls. And to make things even more interesting, the thugs were actually smart and used tactics. They didn't rush in to get punched by Batman. They either approached from the side, back or didn't engage at all and waited for him to engage. It might have been a short action sequence, but man. I want to see more of that kind of Brutal Batman.

You know, we all talk about how Batman has no powers and of course that’s true, but you have to admit that Batman, as far as humans go, he basically has powers, or at least attributes that 99.99% of the human population could never hope to reach. And that’s in multiple areas. Physically, the amount of martial arts he’s mastered is basically impossible, given the age he started at. Then there’s his athleticism which, I’d venture to guess he’s probably as athletically gifted as the top 0.01% of athletes. And his recovery and durability are off the charts. That’s not even mentioning his intellect and other skills he possesses, along with being the head of Wayne Enterprises with the playboy attitude. So yeah Batman can’t fly, but I’d honestly rather have Batman’s abilities than flight.

I'm surprised that no one pointed out that while the list called Red Son Superman a villain, he quite literally was trying to stop the world from being taken over by a superpowered alien that seized control of an authoritarian government.
Except instead of being evil enough to be a good enough authority to prevent corruption he essentially just leaves all his territories to get fucked over by the ruling party.
Like the sheer and total irony is that Russian Batman was still trying to save the world even if it was more about revenge. Cause his bit about Superman being the same as the other leaders is completely true. Superman is too preoccupied with his own goals that individual choice as well as individual consequence become removed from his thoughts.
Just wanted to point out that while they frame the Batman as rather villainous, its because an ignorant, naive alien who cannot identify with human struggles (pain, weakness) seized control of an authoritarian superpower and was just conquering other countries for shiggles but not actually governing over them which we later find out allowed the ruling party to just abuse the entire system to shit like irl.

To add to this but the comic book Red Son Batman didn't want to kill anyone he just wanted to bring down the government, his terrorist actions of like destroying the Superman museum; he gave the civilians adequate time to escape. And when he beat Superman to a pulp he was going to lock him in a bunker with plenty of food so he could live out the rest of his days rather than leave him there to like starve to death. I wish DC would actually use Batman's "No Kill Rule" as an indicator that Batman is actually a bad, ultraviolent person who can only live in a good way if he adheres to certain inflexible rules. That if he allows himself to actually be himself, he will never be able to live in a good way ever again. However, characters who are good, are not as violent by nature, and not on such a precipice of insanity, should actually be able to kill without it having an adverse effect on their moral compass or methodology. The thing is, good people don't need rules to live in a good way, and this simply wouldn't happen very often unless very specific plot contrivances demand it.
Instead, DC treats the "No Kill Rule" as a moral event horizon regardless of the character, that, if violated, the former hero will inevitably become Darth Vader if allowed to remain at large. That's fine for Batman; I think it makes him more interesting if he's a monster choosing to act like a better version of himself. But to use Batman's personal code of conduct to define Moral Alignment just doesn't make any damn sense. (Especially since Batman kills somebody in so many movies)

@@vinegro4579 Right? His reason for not killing isn’t that he’s too good for that or that he believes in redemption. It because he knows if he allows himself to kill once, he won’t be able to stop.

Batman doesn't have a "Berserker Rage".
    He is always in control.
Your 1st example, Batman blatantly says that the battle isn't a fight, it's a surgery,
    and he is the surgeon.
Surgeons use steady hands and deliberate actions.
You guys don't know what the word Berserker means do you?

the fight against the joker after Thomas Elliot died seemed a bit...emotional

For the most part your right. Batman very rarely , if ever, goes berserk. He surgically takes apart his opponents using whatever means neccesary to do so. Wolverine is what a berserker looks like. Batman is a technician. Only the Joker has ever been able to get Batman close to losing control.

I always found it amazingly interesting, how people assume that Superman without his powers would be weak. When the opposite is true. Superman is trained in every form of martial arts just like Batman. While also possessing Kryptonian level intelligence. Meaning the knowledge of the 28 known galaxies. Comics & Movies try to make Batman so strong when the fact is they have to dumb down Superman to make Batman stand any chance even under equal conditions were Superman has lost his powers.

Last I checked Superman trained only in Kryptonian martial arts. I wouldn’t exactly call the equal in fighting prowess. Also, Batman is the greatest strategist in fiction. That’s his true superpower.
