I don't think carpet in the bathroom is "creepy" but it seriously grosses me out. All I can think is bacteria sponge 🤢 plus it's usually uggo so maybe just don't, people.

Sound absorbing curtains help improve the sound quality and reduce vibration levels within whatever room they are installed in. If you hear a lot of exterior sound like road noise in your room, then soundproof curtains will not be as effective as a true soundproof window, but they are a simple and effective choice to at least make the problem less. Curtains are a fantastic way to deaden sound in your room and keep it from echoing. Curtains alone may not be enough, but it will certainly help.

Same
The double sided deadbolt is for security. My house has the same locks and someone can break the window and unlock the door. A month after I changed my lock to the Double deadbolt, My neighbor came over and said their house was broken into when they moved in by their French doors.
My in-laws had to do this for the same reason, they had a family member break into their home a few times, so the locked deadbolt made it so they couldn't get in.
In the UK and I double lock my front door too for security.

here in Indonesia, we generally have pretty bad crime rate (burglary and the likes) so all the houses here are either totally closed off from the outside (full wall around the house or high fences) or barred on all windows and doors.
my house got infiltrated by my own neighbor twice before too (once they come in from the roof and broke the ceiling and the other time they just broke the back door with some heavy tools). So I have no choice but to install bars all over the house (literally steel bars like prison cells). Caught them red handed the 2nd time and called the cops because it was pretty loud when they break in.
Thank you!
as a child we had carpet in the bathroom. Mom thought it was the height of luxury. As I got older I could see the draw backs to the whole concept. I love accent walls. They pop in a room and allow for some deco accent.
Sometimes men miss the toilet when they pee, and if there is carpet there, that is disgusting! :)
@@caseyflorida agree😆
Agreed carpet is a bacteria and mold magnet.🤢
@@audisnewbeginning8616 yep, gross
Same here. Grandma's new house in 1974 had carpeted bathrooms.
Oh my dog! I have missed you all. I’m so glad to see you. Re-watching your old videos isn’t the same a getting a fresh dose of y’all’s humor and hijinks. I’m looking forward to your next video with anticipation and glee. (Yes, it’s true, my life is drab and bereft of excitement). So happy you little yahoos are back!! 🤠

Ya'll hit it out of the park as usual. My only complaint--and this is to all the flippers out there--is the gray. Let gray die! When I was house hunting all the gray walls and cabinets just bummed me out--so I bought new 🙃
Bought new instead of buying a can of paint lmao. People with money have such strange problems
@@Jay-rg5mt Well, I was intentionally exaggerating. Most of the houses in my price range in my area (CA) either needed a lot of work, had cosmetic upgrades that I didn't like but still needed a lot of work, or were new. The California housing market is maybe not usual, but the proliferation of gray paint in flips is. Also, it's harder to repaint painted cabinets than you might think. Especially if you want the finish to withstand the wear and tear of kitchen or bathroom use.
Agreed! HATE the grey cabinets!
You will have to pry the Dorian Gray paint brush out of my cold dead hands!!!! 🤣🤣🤣. Paint is so subjective. I love the gray for me but if it’s not your thing find what is and enjoy!!!
@@calicocritterscrafts886 do your thing! I have Swiss coffee cabinets and adore them!
The deadbolt on the back door is so that the glass door can't be broken and the door be easily unlocked from outside. My locksmith suggested we do the same thing since our backdoor has a large glass window.
How does it stop the glass dood from being broken?
@@erin9868 it keeps someone from breaking glass and reaching hand in to unlock from inside. Requiring a key from inside to unlock deadbolt keeps someone from doing that.
@@candacecabral6488 If they just broke the glass they could easily climb through the door... so I'm not seeing the benefit.
Those "inside locking deadbolts" are to stop a burglar from being able to quickly load out, especially large things.
I had a burglar break into a 2nd floor bedroom window and only got a hand fully of stuff because he couldn’t leave through the door. He had to go back out the window he broke through.
A safety expert warned us not to have the keyed deadbolts in our home because in case of a fire the key might be dropped or inaccessible and you are trapped inside a burning house. It is illegal for businesses to have a keyed debolt. Firefighters have found a pile of dead bodies at an exit because a key was necessary to get out the door.
It looks great, though I am really sad that you took out the french doors in the living room... That's a downgrade in my view.
I love this channel, not only because of the great job but they also give us the full transformation in one episode.
Don't get me wrong, I also like to see the step by step, especially when is a more diy project, but this feel like like a full story with a biginin a middle and an end. Perfect.
The two tone kitchen is very nice! Realtors call the toilet in it’s own little room a water closet. It is a great feature!
Love the accent walls! Anyone else catch the tiny little sliver of accent wall above the stairs? Hilarious. Can't wait for the next episode!
Yeah! Why the tiny grey triangle?
@@rosehughes599 I think it's cuz of the roof being pointy but the passage way is a rectangular cut out like all passageways are but tbh I probably would have put the accent wall elsewhere to not draw attention to the weird triangle lol.
love this one! It gives an example of something that could be more easily done by the owner if they purchase a home like this.
Totally!

Looked so much better when it was finished.
The floors looked a lot nicer as well.
I would love to see you guys keep the wooden cabinets in a project! I’m seeing so many white oak cabinets that are so dreamy and I’m curious if just sanding and light stain would achieve that look
You guys need to be on HGTV! Love watching you both!
Such a great flip! The only drawback is the dark gray accent walls. They draw the eye to them but don't really showcase the high ceilings. A lighter greige would be nice. Not too warm, not too cold.
The grey wall to draw the eye is so nobody notices the long skinny room.
that area right off the entry way would be considered a formal living room where you would entertain guests before/after dinner. At least that's what I would call it 😅
Great job with this flip y'all! It looks great
Honestly I love it, my only complaint is that you guys should try other colors than grey. Ik you guys are playing it safe but you’d be surprised how many people want color in their homes
I totally agree 👍🏾
Great job!!! I definitely missed you guys… so happy you posted. Love the accent walls and how clean and simple the design you went for. It definitely gives the buyer to incorporate their own designs like the master bathroom.
More to come!
I want this house!! Seriously, you guys did a great job. I think what makes these houses is your attention to detail. The light fixtures, the 2 tone cabinets. It looks magazine ready!
This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice czcams.com/users/postUgkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnOmZm and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.
I love the accent walls. Beautiful, clean, modern.
I loved the grey accent walls. So much easier on the eyes. Its amazing how much the overall look of the house changed with cosmetic changes
FINALLY SOME NEW CONTENT😩😩
Whoever edits these videos is doing a great job. Love it
They have a full time videographer and editor. They had him on a video the past year or so. They wanted HGTV style
After watching all your videos I gladly say I've been waiting for moooore!!
Glad to see ya back! Great video. You guys are da best!
Thanks so much!
Hello!!, wow. The production quality on this video have definitely improved. Lovee!
So glad to have a new vid & project from you guys.. Beautiful transformation. Not much to do with the existing but you elevated it to the next level. 👌
Finally. Been waiting for this to drop!
The idea for a deadbolt on the inside is that someone can easily break a window pane in the French door - and then unlock the door. Not sure if it will actually slow down a thief, but in general, thieves are lazy and will move on to an easier target !;-)
I love the styling & staging of this house 🤩
i was so excited to kick back and watch the new video. i love this channel! ❤️ more videos soon pls!!!
I was looking for you guys a couple of days ago! So happy to see another video up. Great flip!
Yay! Thank you!
Question, it didn’t look like you sanded the kitchen cabinets so what kind of paint did you use?
I’d imagine that would be considered a formal living room, a parlor maybe… a keeping room would be located off the kitchen as a way of interacting with whoever was in the kitchen cooking. I suppose it was the beginning stages of open floor plans.
The reason for the deadbolt with a key is for parents who have a toddler who escapes like Houdini every chance they get, especially if they are night owls who make their getaway in the dead of the night. 😂
So glad your back! You tube unsubscribed me so I got lucky to find you in my feed!
Wooow love how you guys transformed this house it looks absolutely beautiful
It seems like you two don't care for the staging much at all. 😆 The skull art, splatter art, peaches, apple, pears, small furniture, air mattress call out, feather pen art, porcupine in a frame wall hangings...or maybe it was just how the reveal was edited. 😏
You both so amuse me. Love watching your flips. Greetings from South Africa Durban
I love watching your videos, you guys are great
Nice to see you back👍
I think this might just be one of my FAVE flips I've seen y'all do - LOVE the accent walls and the blue-toned grey - that's where it's AT! (I'm not a fan of the yellowy-greys they just look old and sickly and like they're stained with cigarette smoke LOL). GREAT JOB!!!!
I love creating accent walls using paint. I think it looks great in this house.
Love every minute of this video ❤️
The use of space on the 2nd floor is very interesting. The bonus room off the master was obviously a 4th bedroom in the original plans but why steal sqft from a bedroom to give another room a 2nd closet in addition to a very large walk-in closet? The location doesn't imply any ducting or other services made an awkward nook that made more sense as a closet.
I'm happy to see that you have a new video out! I imagine the keyed deadbolt is to keep someone from breaking out a pane of glass and reaching inside to open the door. Did my eyes deceive me? It looks like you built that back deck on top of the broken slab. Why wouldn't you fix the slab? Doesn't that make your deck unstable? I know you were trying to keep costs down but the showerhead in the master bath needs to be higher. And I don't care for the tub. And I think there is way too much gray throughout the house. But then I don't do this for a living so what do I know?
😍
My youngest had autism. When he was really small, we had to install a double deadbolt to keep him from bolting. (The key was on a stretchy thing so it was in easy reach at all times - but out of his reach.)
And a double deadbolt on a french door means a thief can't just break a window to open the door.
Beautiful renovation!🧡
Thank you! 🤗
I love the skull art work. Pretty cool flip. And as someone down there wrote, we need a new statement color!!!
I really like this house. The color scheme was very up to date. They say accent walls are out, but I disagree. Loved the decorating too.
Hello and thank you for your amazing videos! We learn a lot from you guys! I wanted to ask, you are talking about a software (11:37) what is the name of it?
Love the flooring
love your work.. keep doing what your doing and always have "positive reinforcement". Love the kitchen cabinets in your vid's where do you shop?
I didn’t see when you upload. It turned out beautiful! I like that day bed lol.
I rented a condo once that had carpet in the bathroom. Hated it! It was really hard to keep water from getting on it no matter how many mats I threw on them.
I quite like the skulls adds a bit of uniqueness to the room
Can you guys compliment the houses more often? I want to know good qualities about a house even if it's really bad so I can understand the difference between the good and bad of a house.
THank you !! ThaNk YoU
The accent wall in the master bath draws the eye away from the tub, makes it fade into the bathroom. I might have gone white with the upper cabinet door in the master bath. The accent wall in the master bedroom gives a very cozy, cocoony feel. The kitchen is beautiful. I probably would not have known which walls to paint but you did a great job. Oh, the office is beautiful, too. It’s a very nice flip.
Love the acent walls
The lock on this inside is maybe due to an intellectually disabled child. This is backed up by the converted bedroom which was directly connected to parents room and prevents child from wondering
the dead bolt is because of the french door. Homes without security systems would do that sort of lock so that if someone broke open the window, they couldn't gain access.
It’s so crazy how just hearing you guys say “primary bedroom/bathroom” makes my heart do a little leap for joy. That little change makes a huge difference. Thank you Austin Flipsters! And great job as always!
I'm loving all the grey! It brings a pop of interest while still staying neutral (without incorporating some ugly beige, lol).
So great to see you guys back in action! We've missed you!! If you'd consider partnering with Aussies, hit me up! ❤
Why? 😂
Such a beautiful Before and After, just 👏. Im a young developing hime designer, what software do you use for home designs please?
Missed watching your videos!
Ive been waiting for yoyr video❤💃🙏💙
Definitely would have upgraded the master bath.
Agree! It made it look cheap.
Is gray still the "it" color? Not a fan.
I'm also tired of it. Time to switch it up.
No it’s not, they need to stop with the gray!
An accent wall in each room is a bit much to my taste. I never saw that until the 80s and it was usually in the livingroom. Also dark colors or black on walls are not usually favorable. I know grey is finslly going out of style, i like light colors, especially palest blue or pink. I once had a real light almost white pink bedroon and 3 windows on different walls. As the light changed throughout the day it was like candle light in there. In the fall there was a tree with red/cranberry leaves and that made the room a burgandy at dusk. Really pretty and relaxing.
I think you have convinced me to do an accent wall on my project house
I would definitely buy a house such as that...love the maze like layout
What software do they use for the 3D renders and stuff
What lvp floors did you use? They look great! Thanks!
I love the black dining set! Can you send a link for that one??
It looks so pretty ,I just wish the kitchen cabinets went all the way to the ceiling .I hope all the nice furniture that was in the house was given to someone that needed it ,very nice stuff .
I'm pretty sure it's staging furniture. It's typically stored in a warehouse when it's not being used on open house. They might also have rented it from a store. But that's a sweet idea ❤️
Before I watch, I have to say I missed you guys..now let me watch the video
Hi ,Nice finish ,Do the new owners supply window coverings in normal house flips or are they normally supplied ?
Nice to see you use color in your designs.
We have a deadbolt on the inside of our front door. We've lived in this house for nearly 15 years and not once until now has it ever occurred to me how weird that was!
Looks good
Nice job. Y’all always make me laugh so hard (milking stools 😆) I really miss seeing the product list you usually (kindly) include on your other videos.
The milking stool comment...so funny! This one had me laughing!
I've been addicted to watching you guys.. just wanna know ever consider doing Hawaii[ Big Island Specifically]🥺😮💨.... me and hubby are moving there this year 🤞 from NY . And all I keep doin is throwing subliminals about how much I would love for you guys to remodel our future home OR WE buy one that you guys sell ❤️
The skull artwork is really cool! Where did you get it?! I have the perfect room that would look so cool with them hanging up!
Very nice house and I do love the accent walls. They really anchor the space. For the shower stall, I wonder if painting it would have helped update it. I would have suggested black but that wouldn't go with the colour scheme used. Finally, the staging! The person who did the staging is amazing. They did such an excellent job. I'd be surprised if this house didn't sell right away.
Yes, staging is a great little bit of B.S. and really helps sell houses.
I like the blue gray accent wall
The house looks great! Do you include the furniture in the sale?
Lol y’all hated the master room with the extra space but I liked it haha maybe because i would use it as a nursery 🤣
Window casings and frames! White window casings against those dark grey walls would have looked so nice.
Have you ever flipped a 100 year old home?
My husband and I just sold our house and we are adding an addition to my parents house. I want to fix up their original, very old, house and make it nice for us. The addition will be their easy to take care of, one floor, home. We did a lot of work to our old home and made enough to build our addition. ♡
Hey Lenny, Larah nice video
This is the first time I’ve watched this channel. I almost spit my water out when I heard “is this a milking stool” 😂😂
Love accent walls!
Awh I liked the French doors.
Omg it been forever since you last uploaded video
We miss you guys
Deadbolts came with my house on all the doors. Although now illegal in my city, they were handy when my mom with dementia lived with me.
