Great video gentlemen with a ton of great information and insight, thank you…!
Thank you for watching!
Now this is my kind of video up close hands on and seeing what’s getting talked about up close.
Thank you! 😬
This was so helpful. Thank you. I talked with Rick earlier this week. He gave me other sheep contacts. Appreciate the sharing of knowledge.
Glad to help and glad Rick was able to give you a hand. 😬

Thanks Tim...great video with lots of on point, useful information. As I mentioned in one of the excerpts...great to see the Aussie Whites getting a run in the US.

You’re welcome. Thank you!
This is a awesome & very informative video!! Much needed and hoping for more like these!
Thank you! We appreciate your support.
What a wealth of knowledge! Thanks for asking such good questions. We had a collapsible round bale feeder and it did not work well for goats because they put their hooves on the bottom rails and soil the hay. Of course they wont eat the hay on the bottom so you can't push the rail snug to the remainder of the bale without physically taking a pitchfork to the bottom of the bale. So if you have one of these custom made for goats make sure you only have VERTICAL spindles!
TJ I know I wish I had a hoop shed for sure. Maybe one day I’ll have half the knowledge of these guys
Thanks sir! We appreciate you taking the time to comment and for your continued support. 😬
Thanks for watching, Brandon. We appreciate your kind words and support.

Haven't decided between Royal Whites or American Whites. We currently run Katahdin sheep. I think a better meat animal needs to be pushed for America's sheep industry.
We personally see the best outcomes with cross breeding. Dorper is a fairly good option for meat if you want to stick with a specific breed. Otherwise, start crossing up breeds. 👍🏻
@@LinessaFarms American Whites, aka Australian Whites, and Royal White seem to be a bit harder and carry a little more parasite resistance than Dorper. We want a more hands off animal but yet is a maternal and meat machine. We have also been looking at the Comp IV or Easycare sheep developed at MARC.
Hi Tim,
Maybe I’m off the subject, but it’s sort of follow up on my previous question to you. I asked if it’d be alright to put ram lambs (12wk old) with our rams(1.5yo) and if the lambs would be safe being there... You said -yes.
Well, I was going to give our one ram lamb(intact) a few more weeks with mama and sister, but today he decided to hop his sister who is also 12wks old. So we’ve decided to put him in with our 2 rams to prevent our little ewe from getting pregnant by the ram lamb(don’t know if it’s possible, but don’t want to gamble! Hopefully nothing happened 🤦🏻♀️)
Long story short, the rams started hopping the lamb ram!!! It looked so disturbing! He is so small still...
Can the rams hurt the little fellow? What are our options? Separate stall just for him alone? Ugh...
Any advice is appreciated! Thank you
They should work it out in short order and this behavior is normal. As long as they have room to run away from one another, you should be ok. Keep an eye on them and be cautious. That’s about the best I can do for you. 😬
