This is an elegant piece of complex engineering supported by the mathematical vectors in the various directions required acting in tension and in compression. As far as it goes, while it is very beautiful to look at, as an engineer I would not describe it as artistic as the fact that it is an engineering structure we must come to terms with the fact that engineering on its own MUST art as otherwise it will not work. We must get over this idea that religion and art and politics and management and psychology and other drug effects must be included to describe various parts of engineering. ENGINEERING acting on its own power is an amalgamation of functions and one is BEAUTY AND ELEGANCE.
Incidentally, this is not art because of the fact that it also describes the human body with its bones in compression and its muscles intension to achieve the function. The remarkable part of what is shown in the video is not contained only in the
overall design, but the manner it is put together to form the final shape. That alone needs goo logic in its management. Also, the sensitivity in those fingers feeling for the balancing of the tensioned elements so that the final item will not be distorted as there is beauty even in the symmetry in three dimensions. There is no need to proceed to describe this entity as within its simplicity there is a lot of complexity. PIty is that people associate pleasant emotions with religions, entertainment, art, and other forms of drugs which titillate many people's minds. The people who improved their nation's development are those who tend to live in silence and unseen, producing, logic, reason and rational thinking to produce guaranteed tangible comforts to the community. Many social profession should look at the self-organization of the universe to see the real beauty. It is a pity that we could not add centrifugal force to what is shown in the video as then we would be daring to build active models of the atom, which makes the universe what it is. Congratulations to the designer of this structure.
