One thing I don't think I've heard any reactor point out is how after taking the Water as he walks up to the council, Paul is just walking up w effing worms crashing behind him. No thumpers to control them just an effing boss.
That is the most jaw dropping scene not just visually but for what it means.
He literally just controls them.
Epic.
Plus he can see whether or not he’ll be eaten by one. So if he can see the future and know he’s safe, then he can literally stroll through the desert with no worry.
Soooo boss. Amazing!!!!
Paul’s doesn’t actually control the worms. There is a character much later who is the first to control worms.
@@woo1818 I haven't read past Dune and I believe what you're saying but in this shot they would seem to be responding to him in some way and not attacking him.
He's clearly not sand walking and he dgaf.
Maybe it's just a cool shot but Greig and Denis are very intentional typically.
Denis has made changes already but maybe it's random and just there to look cool.
@@johnohrstrom5112 it’s such a great shot that I think it’s worth the stretch of believability.
Man what a reaction. You have me feeling like I could run a marathon right now dude. Three four five years? No man, this is the best film I've seen in like 10. Already in my top 3 all time films.
Finally someone who doesn't cut the ending sequence to shit
I took the demonitization to keep in the good stuff. Priorities. 🤣
The worm ride scene is one I wish I had seen in Imax as even in a normal theater it was impressive.
One thing that people don't seem to catch is that this out come was the best case outcome which when you think about it is a scary thought
Yeah the other outcome was Fayd.
People want to call Paul a villain, I see him more as a tragic hero.
He felt he had no other choice. He thought he was doing the right thing The likable young boy becomes something he was forced into. He had no control.
My only complaint about this film is it needed a full 3hr run time. A few lines could have been fleshed out more, but when you're dealing with a studio blockbuster you have to make concessions.
Ideally, it would have been three movies. Just like the book is divided into three parts.
I'm really curious how they're going to do some of the later books but if anyone can pull it off, Dennis Villeneuve can.
I think he has said he's in for 1 more, so I don't think he'll get to Leto II.
Maybe he'll change his mind but whatever he touches has been golf so I agree, I trust his vision.
"They´re not slowing down this train"
Oh you have no idea.
You're the first reactor I've heard say it, and I agree with your assessment of Zendaya as the weakest link in a stellar cast. She's a very good actress and I have no issue with the Chani changes from the book, but her performance (voice and mannerisms) felt too "modern American" compared to everyone else who felt "otherworldly," and it "took me out of it" on several occasions. Even Walken didn't take me out of it. Anyway, thanks for a great reaction and so much hype!
that intro music sounds very icelandic to me, like berndsen.
I made the music and used ai for vocals.
Pls upload full track. It's amazing
Posted a little video I just made.

Loved your reaction absolutely brilliant!! And you know I think this movie is the best I have seen in ever!! Got me wishing on a worm ride visuals fantastic music awesome epic!!!
Track slaps.
I've seen it in IMAX, you talk about bad ass! Yes go see it! Can hardly wait for Messiah. 😎
Chani in the movie is meant to be the voice of the author's message. I don't understand why you are disappointed that she didn't stay with him. He did not free her people; instead, he took over them and used them to wage a war on the Great Houses, where billions would die. He is not a messiah sent by God; he was bred to do all those things-things which are written in a book carefully constructed by the Bene Gesserit. It is like saying he will do the x by giving him the tools to do the x. He is no messiah; he is just a man who had this power because of careful planning.
I know but in the end what other choice is there. The holy war is here. Maybe by his side she could have a hand on the wheel.
He’s not the messiah, he’s just a very naughty boy
For those that read the book this has become a divisive issue. On one hand I actually like how Chani reacted because it makes her more human. On the other hand, my issue is that she was surprised. If Paul knew this was going to happen then why didn’t he prepare her for it? He’s not going to share Irulan’s bed or give her children. It shouldn’t have been a surprise. She may still have walked away in the end, but at least she would have been prepared. I feel Iike this was done just for the emotionally punch, whether it was realistic or not.
I've read the book and I can see where some people wouldn't like it. It's a big departure.
I think in terms of adapting it for film and a 3rd movie, it sets up more tension.
The ending would have felt much happier had she stayed undercutting the point of the narrative. It shows an immediate consequence for his actions.
Everything Denis has produced to this point has been immaculate so I trust his vision.
And damn, I agree this would have been CRAZY on some shrooms! Too old for that now though!!!
It went over readers' of the book's heads initially prompting the sequels.
It makes it more clear he's going down a darker path.
Similar to the change with who killed the Barron, HUGE change but reinforces his dark path.
The only thing I don’t understand about the prophecy being planning rather than a true prophecy, is Paul and Channi.
The Reverend Mother Superior said Paul was born a generation early, but he needed Channi aka desert spring tears in order for him to stay alive/not die.
Isn’t it impossible for them to plan people falling in love on their own? Even if it was possible, Paul was 30+ years early so how would they have prepared this? So isn’t it 80% planning but then 20% actual prophecy that even the BG did not realize and now know that this is much bigger than they thought / they’re fools in comparison?
Dune Prophecy trailer online, looks interesting
He is the one! Neo! Whoops wrong movie
