I own the website MermaidTravelTails.com On my website, we sell cheap silicone mermaid tails that are manufactured by the Braveeer factory. Braveeer sells affordable silicone mermaid tails that are made out of food-grade silicone. These swimmable mermaid tails are lightweight, super sparkly and easy to transport. But are they worth the money? As a seller of Braveeer mermaid tails, I obviously think that these tails are worth the money. After all, I wouldn't sell something that would harm my reputation within the mermaid community... I want to maintain your trust, thank you very much! But I can't lie to you and say that the mermaid tails I sell through my Mermaid Travel Tails brand are perfect... because they are not! So here is an honest video highlighting some of the pros and the cons of these inexpensive silicone mermaid tails. I hope you will find this video helpful in deciding whether or not you would like to invest in one of these tails.

Here are a few things to know before getting one of these silicone mermaid tails:
-These tails are made with food-grade silicone, not medical-grade silicone.
-Monofins are not included with your tail purchase. A monofin with a strong thrust that fits your tails fluke should be used. Different monofins will fit different fluke options.
-These tails are only to be used by adults who are excellent swimmers and are well trained in the dolphin kick swimming motion.
-These tails are custom made to fit your body measurements. Because of this, we do not recommend purchasing a tail if you are in the process of losing or gaining large amounts of weight.
-Do not use these tails in dangerous situations or in situations beyond your experience level.
-Do not use these mermaid tails without the supervision of another adult.
-Mermaid tails can be dangerous. When using these tails, you swim at your own risk. Be safe, be smart and know your limits. Please don't drown!

I’m really glad you spoke about the shedding of glitter. I had some friends who have these tails and I found glitter in the pool after they had swam in it. So they do shed even though the glitter is supposed to be embedded. Thanks for sharing this info!
I am newer on my mermaid journey but in a couple of years or when I am ready I definitely will get one! I have always wanted a silicone tail but hated the idea of such a heavy tail this is genius!

It looks so good. I mostly use fabric ones because its cheap for me and I can buy multiple in diffrent styles and colors. Whenever my family go on vacations swimming in lakes/sea/pool etc is always involve and its so fun.❤

Sorry for the late reply, I was at the movies this afternoon. Great review. I would like to get a fin fun tail to start. Then get one of these. I think a lighter silicon tail sounds best for you. Right now I can not afford one, part of my disabilty. I would love to get a blue/purple, one and get extra fins. ❤❤🖤🖤🧜♀️ thanks for making this video. Tested how? On animals?
I test the tails and am basically an animal, so kinda!😉😂 But all jokes aside, if you mean the testing for toxic chemicals, I believe it would be tested in a lab and I highly doubt it has anything to do with animals. I don't know the exact process, but I imagine they'd look at the molecular structure of sample pieces and/or test it in various conditions and with various reactive substances to see if it releases certain particles or behaves in a way that would indicate contamination? Again, I don't know the exact process, but I do highly doubt animals are involved, as that seems unnecessary and unrelated to the goal of the testing done... if that makes sense? Hope that helps!
@@TheMagicCrafter as of Jan 2023 China stopped requiring animal testing but they used to require it. So I ask cause some of us are vegan/ vegetarian and will not support animal testing of products so it’s a factor some need to know if something is 100% cruelty free. Thanks for the reply.
