It’s non-intuitive to understand that all this complexity is just natural and no intervention of any being is required, it’s much much simpler and easier for humans to believe that some being did it magically, especially when we are indoctrinated to believe from a very early age by our parents, teachers, leaders, elders practically everyone. The example for explaination of design without God that he has mentioned can be refuted, i guess here.
Because he is in presupposition that 3 cell will lead to further complexity. Here 3 cells are preassumptions.
The refutation is that, where from those 3 cells developed? Therefore again an uncaused cause must be there i.e GOD.
Also why cant 1 or 4 lead to complexity design

First, you need to have comparative studies of religion, secondly, science discusses both why and how, where religion think only why and the assumption is with the angels (Frishty) who has the same concept of Gods as Hindus but it works differently in Ibrahimi religions.

The basic theme of entire religions of universe is "There is no god but God (Allah).There is biggest sin in the universe is assosiating partner with God (Allah).
1-Atheist and Muslims are together in one part "There is no god " it reflects the unbiasedness of Muslims and Atheists while differentiating in the second part "but God( Allah).
The question comes in mind then who is God (Allah)????????????????????
Only Islam defines the term God (Allah) is in fantabulous manner.
Allah is uncreated creator spaceless,timeless,immaterial and unlimted of source of energy when there was no power over universe i.e space and time then also he existed ➡(UNIVERSE)^0=1.
Science has nothing to do with 'why', especially the teleological one. This is just a false assertion. Science can only discuss apparent and materialistic discussion about these topics.

Although theory of evolution would not be in negation of existence of any creator even if it would be definite because (as told by mufti Saab) this theory says that entire world of living organism evolved from a single cell and but doesn't disclose that where did the single cell come from? So theory of evolution is limited...when its scope finishes then theology starts...
