She wrote this song after accepting several music awards one night at a NZ music award show. While she was receiving the award, her cousin (who sat in the audience) told her a man beside her made racial slurs towards Aaradhna. When Aaradhna was told later that night, she went into her room and wrote this song.
For the record, Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel, better known by her stage name Aaradhna, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter, and musical recording artist. She made her musical debut in 2004 featuring on the single "Getting Stronger" with the group Adeaze which peaked at number one on the official New Zealand Singles Chart. Born: 20 December 1983 (age 39 years), Porirua, New Zealand, Nationality: New Zealand
She is also Samoan and Indian. I am from where she is from and went to school in Porrirua(P Town as the locals call it) in wellington the capital city of New zealand.
