- This video is inspired by @yangyangdni and their amazing videos!
I forgot to mention this in the video woopsie but here’s a spreadsheet with my guesses on the genres of the entire OST, I’ll be updating it as more tracks are added: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
Also guys I’m not an expert at this so feel free to correct me lol
#phighting #roblox #music - Zábava
I have 1 correction, what was that on doomspire?!
It’s a joke pls don’t ban me- NO-
Alright bro we don’t need to talk about that 🤫
@@stylus_song lmao
@@stylus_song also here’s a tip, if the runway becomes orange for a second, after around like 3-4 seconds, get out of the runway, there are 2 types of planes, the plane and the jet, the plane just swoops in that’s it. You can hear a propeller kind of sound right before it comes. The jet is more scuffed, it comes on the battlefield, (the runway) with its extended hit box. Oh my God, that thing is so scuffed. The hit box can last to an extra 2 seconds I think. It lands on the runway and then flies off with no hit box.
All that music identifying and couldn't even see the plane coming his way on Doomspire.
I'm a musician first and a phighter second 😔
as someone who always had trouble identifying different types of music (but also loves Phighting), this is super helpful!! I like how you put little descriptions of the styles as well!
Glad it helped you! You should really check out the guy that I linked in the description though, as most of my music genre knowledge came from him 😁
Finally someone who uses the term breakcore correctly, i be seeing people call stuff WITHOUT drums “breakcore” like huh?!???!?!
what 😭
OH MY GOD YES I really have no idea why people call everything breakcore these days.
@@Deltamanisbad Probably because breakcore is the new genre that was created when breakbeats were "revived." A lot of people might not be familiar with the older music genres from the 90s-00s, so they assume that any music with breakbeats is breakcore. Idk why someone would think a song with no drums is breakcore tho 😭
@@stylus_song it was literally just ambient music with a synth and it was in a breakcore playlist and everyone labelled it as breakcore i was like huh wheres the breakcore💀😭
if people don't play the games they should atleast recognize the music, nice video
This OST is so iconic like I legit stream some of these songs on Spotify 😭
can i just say,
THANK YOU.*
i needed to know the genres SO BADLY
(thank you)
MYSTIC PLAYS PHIGHTING??
Tips for sling:
- remember to use your moves !!!
- charging your shots at full does like 20 damage each and will DEFINITELY do more dps than spamming half charged shots
- double jump/hovering in the air while charging m1 will make the charge faster by like 20% or something
Thanks for the video by the way
@@Astere.thanks for the tips! :D
love how theres a wide variety in Phighters and Music choice
Me casually thinking that I’d see a good slingshot, until you brought out the:”I’m still learning”.Boi you have E to get out of situations
I always forget it 😅
they didnt even charge their shots its obvious from the start
@@cereal8193 I always thought it was better to do an M2 followed by rapid M1s because M1s take so long to charge 😭 I mean u got more experience tho so imma take your word for it
I partially play Slingshot but def not at least 25% of the time,I’m a reckless being and escaping isn’t much for me,it’s more like dealing damage as fast as I can
@@stylus_songi saw a vid saying that your should NOT spam since the damage output is significantly lower compared to charged shots
(i can't forget the NOT now can i.... thank you youtube user n3_wa)
I actually learned quite a bit from this video. Thanks.
Oh thank god i aint the only nerd who identifies drumbreaks, you so cool for this brah
CRABLOOSHI JUMPSCARE :000
I love your music bro its fire
I can see how grain of pain is a house genre, I mean it's not crazy and some people genuinely dont know what breakcore or house is, despite them being VERY Similar
Hardcore isn’t considered a sub genre of house, it’s more like house is hardcore’s ancestor, if you will.
Thank god, I love the music in Phighting so much but not knowing the genres make it so hard to find similar songs
Key after key hits harder than ban hammer's phinisher
this is phactual
Thank you bro (I can’t tell any genres by listening to songs)
If you listened to TTYL longer, you'd realize that it's definitely moreso Future Bass than it is Chiptune, as it's inspired by Snail House and other artists (as said by the composer himself, CRABLOOSHI, in the pinned comment under the music video).
Omg ur right 😭 i would say it’s a fusion of the two genres tho, I’ll update the spreadsheet now lol
i'm still trying to learn more genre, this video is helpful
i used to think all amen break samples are breakcore, but i think breakbeat or jungle is more "appropriate" most of time
the only time i was correct on music genre was sensory overload, no way that song isn't breakcore especially that one part on the song
Dw I don't blame you, breakcore is the most recent genre out of the breakbeat genres, so it's the one most ppl are familiar with. (The last time a new genre of breakbeat was made was DnB, which would have been around the 2000s lol)
as someone with *very* limited music knowledge, i literally have like two things to say
laundromadness, or at least the example you put in, seems _incredibly_ tame to be called hardcore
and spaghetti western is an amazing name for a music genre
I’m not entirely sure that Laundromadness is hardcore, like it’s structured like a hardcore beat but typically hardcore actually has more of a deep house feel. And yes, Spaghetti Western is iconic 🤣
0:46 we weren't even looking at the words we just said "STOP SPAMMING M1..... STOP IT....."
I'm rewatching that clip and I can't even tell who I was even shooting at, everyone already got off the runway 💀
HELP ME TOO
very informative! thanks!!
Thank you! This video was super cool :) Very informative as well.
this is so cool but watching you walk into the subspace attacks on telamon made me sob
Yeah not my best moment honestly
If anyone wants to hear something similar to THE FLIPSIDE I definitely reccomend the Sonic Maina soundtrack! Especially studiopolis,, youve probably heard alot of the songs before because they're so iconic!
With the orchestral x rock stuff though, id definitely reccomend the Metal Gear Rising soundtrack... very heavy and intense with awesome vocals! :D
All I know is that more than half the songs include amen break drums
The Amen Break is the most sampled piece of music of all time! :D
THIS IS GENUINELY SCARING ME I NEED MORE SLEEP JESUS CHRRRRISSSSTTTTTTT
don't worry that makes two of us
@@stylus_song HELP?? GET ME OUTTA HEFE MAN
thank you
Plane jumpscare:
(Not as scary as playing hyperlaser and seeing a bio come flying across the map at you)
I knew Sensory Overload/OVERTIME?! was EDM
Tysm
i remember when it was amen break = breakcore
i was very wrong
This was actually never the case! People just overused the term haha
I just wanted to ask, is stylish stickup electronicore or jazzstep or neither?Sorry if i sound stupid
Prob jazz-funk :D
can you do the song artifacial recollection
Funk rock combined with Breakbeat :) if you have any other songs you want to know, check the spreadsheet in the description!
I just have a question
Is Allegro Espresso and Cappuccino Crescendo Jazz or Jazz fusion? My ass can’t tell the difference between Jazz and Jazz Fusion
Jazz Fusion would be a lot more close in sound to genres like Citypop or Boogie. Cappucino Crescendo has more of a Bebop feel to it because of its fast tempo and complex melodies, but overall, both songs are most likely Jazz-Funk. You can check out the spreadsheet in the description for any other songs that aren't included in this video!
in all honesty why does it matter what the funny amen break drums are called.
i think separating in so many diffrent genres and sub genres them just makes things more complicated yk.
good video tho none the less.
It's like asking someone where they're from and if they say the U.S., then you'd ask which state they're from cuz they're all different in many ways,, Texas and Tenessee are both in the south but they've got their own little details that makes that place so much more special! Then ofc if you hear something you really like in a song with amen breaks, you'll want to know it's jungle cuz then you'll get more of those little details you really like!
@@weeferwafer2316 that's a way better explanation than I could ever give lol
where strike of luck (it has a chance in a 13x round to play "strike of luck" or "feel the burn"
Every track is on the spreadsheet in the description, I just didn't include ones I was less sure of. Strike of Luck is most likely Trance but there's a lot of elements of other genres lol
Have fun playing phighting btw(YOU NEED IMPROVEMENT SO BAD 😭)
Fr 😭 this gameplay was actually the first time I ever played doomspire, just to give you an idea of how little I’ve played this game. I’ve literally spent more time listening to the OST than playing the game 💀
@@stylus_song okay ngl I can't disagree with the banger music😭
What genre do you think Artifactual Recollection is in? (Its my favorite ost in the game) either way cool video!!!
I only included songs that I was either sure of OR ones that I was less sure of, but they were the only example of that genre. However, at the time of making this video, I didn't really have an idea of what genre Artifactual Recollection was, but now I'm pretty sure it's a combination of Funk Rock with Breakbeat. If there are any other songs you're wondering about that aren't in this video, check out the spreadsheet I linked in the description! :)
@@stylus_song thank you! i'll definitely check it out
what would bearings broken be
I'm not entirely sure tbh, I feel like there's probably a special name for that kind of music, but I don't know it yet. As of right now, I'm just calling it a fusion of Alt. Rock and Breakbeat. You can check out all the songs at the spreadsheet linked in the description! :)
@@stylus_song TYSM
now do regretevator RAHHH
I've never played it 😭
WHERE IS STRIKE OF LUCK
Any track that isn't in this video is in the spreadsheet in the description! It just means I'm not as sure about that track. I think Strike of Luck is Trance, but that's just a guess, especially since a lot of that song isn't in a "four-on-the-floor" pattern.
mfw no metal phighting ost
I actually realized Six Feet Under is prob Symphonic Metal so I should have included it oops
@@stylus_song oops
its.. its not...
?
