My favorite type of racing. Just normal cars with people racing their hearts out.
The announcers lack of car knowledge always gets me
Sure but at least he's not yelling out other unrelated nonsense and annoying comments about car payments, etc.

Always astounds me how the announcer has no idea what the car is if it isnt domestic.

So glad I got my first win this year but even I'll admit, totally came down to the coin toss there. Both cars were pretty even but my car is a boat in corner 3 and I lose all my speed there. Fun final though, my favorite opponent so far. And yes, both cars were awd, if you run the stock class look into awd options, the jump is by far a bigger advantage on stock tires. the infiniti is AWD, look for an *X* after the model number.
@@d0sitmatr Rwd is way way better for corners. AWD is good for launch but not that good against an LSD RWD cars
@@cerberus1166 LSD is for launching, but you dont want LSD in the turns. Its why the SS 1LE camaro has an electronic diff that opens it up when turning and locks it in the straights. Regarding the G37, less power and worse on gas compared to the charger.
@@MaliciousSRT posi or locked diff would be better for launching. LSD is what they used to use for corner im pretty sure
@@MaliciousSRT LSD is super useful for corner exit, even with the paltry 184hp my car makes it would roast the inner tire on corner exit in autocross. Now with the LSD it's all grip, much faster corner exit. At the track, as in NJMP road course, I've noticed no mal effects even at 80-90mph sweepers, and still have the same response for corner entry as I did with an open diff. An LSD is absolutely for corners. For launching AWD or a fully locked diff is preferable

Only thing is (and this applies to all classes) is that whoever gets the inside at the start has an enormous advantage.
It’s even more apparent in this class
Oh well, still some of the most fun racing in all of CZcams!
And I don’t think anyone takes these too seriously (as in thinking the car and/or driver that wins in the inside is leagues better than the car and/or on the outside. Though when someone is on the outside and still wins? Now that is a bit more telling of the car and/or driver)

You could see in the second race by the grey VW Sedan the suspension was floating and making it difficult to make a come back despite driving hard. Definitely see the value in lowered, racing style suspension there.
Yeah but then he wouldn't qualify for class b, if I'm not mistaken it's unmodified=bone stock
volkswagens handle like shit out of the box because they have puny rear sway bars

@@tommys2979 I modified and raced VW's for years. If I could pick one suspension mod to make them handle better, it's the rear sway bar. It removes a lot of the understeer, that's my point. Don't make retarded points like "economy" cars lol, my Gti VR6 ran a 12.7 and dyno'ed at only 200 hp lol. That's like saying your LS1 truck is a granny farm hauler

I don't know much about cars, and less about racing, not even sure why I'm watching this. But wouldn't the car on the inside of the turn have the advantage? Or no? I know in foot races they set the person on the inside further back, while the people on the outside are set ahead, which balances it out. Does it not matter with the cars?
The second race with black ford truck did anyone notice looks like the left front wheel locks up while rest of wheels rolling I think I would check that left brake out

Finally, a track that keeps the purpose built cars out of the spectator races!
This track runs 2 divisions. A class is modified and B class is stock. This is the 2nd year they've done it this way and as a competitor in the modified division, I think it's great. Hope they keep doing this.
@@roberthill1208 that's a great idea, I'm sure as a seasoned driver, it's more fun racing experienced drivers, vs first timers, for safety and competition

Why wouldn't they? In more serious events windows down are required so that safety crew can get to you easier.
I race with mine down so I can hear the other car better.
