I think Madden is a cfb reskin in a way. I've played the beta and a lot of the gameplay features from cfb are in. I do think they are unique in their own ways but cfb will be better
yep this right here based on what we have heard about the college game i agree. Faster gameplay and smoother cuts from the running backs is the biggest differencein the beta from 24. Passing game is the same cheese.@@RoyaltyProdz
As soon as the word "reengineered" is used, especially in the middle of a sentence that overexplains (marketing) an improved feature, you know it's gonna be more of the same. For this product to resemble simulation football, it would require a new engine/philosophy/direction, and that's not EA's focus. We know what their focus is.

It's the same frostbite engine.
So until there is a new engine which allows for more core gameplay rebuilding, all they can really do is dick around with gimmicky things like lighting and dice roll probabilities of certain animations and outcomes.
Which don't actually make the game feel different. They just make certain aspects of the game seem more emphasized on a given year. Ie the illusion of a revamped aspect.
That's why every time you get a new Madden at first you think it's a little different but as you play it more the gimmicks wear off and its the same song and dance.

That's not completely horrible .. I expect video games to simulate NFL perfectly but if they just fixed last year issues like passing trajectory and they graphics a lil better and new features than I don't mind it being similar to 24 but improved

With all the unnecessary jargon and unnecessary explosive words… It really shows that EA sports is catering to young kids and first time gamers of their sport game. If they were concerned with people who played their game for 20+ years, they wouldn’t use all those unnecessary words. But we’ll see.
I play NFL fever, NFL2k on dreamcast and blitz 2003 as well as street, those games are just so pure and fluid! could care less about updated rosters. I wish someone could do something like it cause College football is a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Madden 24 gameplay wasn’t broken, I’m cool if this game is Madden 24 with a new look and fresh commentary. Not to mention they brought back team builder. Sounds like it’s gonna be a good game to me.

They finally fixed Franchise Mode, which was by popular demand. They added more realistic/physical tackling. They brought back Team Builder. They improved the presentation, with new commentary teams, an updated draft experience and a new Super Bowl presentation.
My Concern is BoomTech animations, like Micah Parsons, will take place from defenders to blockers while plays are running past them.

i’ve been playing the beta. imo it’s m24 with better presentation, & the movement is slightly better (better enough to notice). running the ball is way better even in the glitchy ass beta. but jump balls are still either incomplete or intercepted, & zone defense will forever suck. overall, i give it a 6/10. slightly above average
I'm old enough to remember Madden saying around 2009ish that star QBs like Peyton, Brady, Roethlisberger, Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Kurt Warner would have their own signature throwing motions... a feature they're hyping in Madden 25 lol!!!!
As soon as I saw "BOOM Tech," I was disappointed. EA loves to come up with these trash tech names like "Protac." I'm worried about this game's gameplay already. We'll see...

@@thekingofkingsrp Ignite was a differnet engine they used in Madden for the graphics before they switched to Frostbite. The Infinity engine was in Madden 13 and was the exact same thing as this BoomTech -- physics based tackling.

The Micah parsons hit stick animation for "boom tech" that they showed has been in the game for years. Also the first gameplay clip they show the LG #77 is blocking nobody and acting like an idiot. Same old garbage, they're rebranding it as "new".

Ea has disappointed me plenty of times with madden but 24 wasn’t as bad as the last couple games. With college football coming and some of the notes on 25 reveal I’m optimistic.
EA hasn't reach the level of greatest EA simulation football which was head coach 09 on 360 and ps3 in 08
Even the sample clip of parsons hitting sanders doesnt look right, no football player ever has made a big hit leading with their hands like that
Having animations in a football game isn't a problem. It's the amount of animations in the library the physics based system they use can call from to create what you see on the field

Got my code for the beta today. We'll it's a few hit and misses. They updated the play calling look so it's all zoomed in. I really hate that. The user feels slow. I played on all pro and well I didn't complete a pass in 1st quarter was 21-0 and I was facing the giants. The player look and brand new scoreboard are amazing. Gameplay felt a little better but the Defense is way to op right now and the Wrs feel slow. I do enjoy the tackling.
How is the new commentary and franchise features?

Here’s how I see it:
Madden did this before, starting with Madden 13 and in the following year, with Madden 25 (2014 Madden), they gave ball carriers realistic fast cuts with left stick change of direction. That was Madden’s best moment if you ask me, and the ones before and after are trash.
It was like a weird combination of animations augmented by realtime physics, but it felt real enough and good enough for me. Just not to the level of Backbreaker.
The issue with pure physics engines is that they’ll never be completely real, so something that’s a little bit off can be game destroying since you have no programmed limitation. Like in Backbreaker, linemen can scream through the line unblocked and blow up 80% of the run plays in the playbook almost all of the time, since the game is “pure physics” and doesn’t force probability onto the game with animations. Meaning since the blocking physics is a tad less realistic, and the linemen get through every time on those plays, a whole segment of the playbook is unviable. This along with the ragdoll hits make the game feel goofy sometimes. That’s why something like Madden, which is more socially mainstream, values probability of a star receiver vs a star corner with X quarterback throwing the ball to be accurate algorithmically, even though the actual gameplay of it sucks to true football lovers.
Technically if animations are your chosen method, you could theoretically make the game feel infinitely close to bottom-up physics engines by just adding countless animations, so that there's a million similar animations for each angle, etc., and it looks realtime. That might be the case here and it's still gonna be dissatisfying in terms of that stiff game feel we all "know and love" Madden to be. All I'm saying is that it doesn't look bad.

The only time EA will ever step up to the plate is next year when they are no longer exclusive to the nfl. If the nfl is smart they would allow an open competition. I actually liked nfl qb club back in the day. Blitz was is actually better than the last 10 maddens.

I have played the beta there are issues but it plays better than previous versions, alot of warping?? and some interesting physics issues when you adjust the physics slider to see whats going on. The line is a little slow blocking but cant give specifics outside the feedback forum, its more detailed in the forum. Graphics are nice of course, its not ready at all for launch??

They emailed me for play testing Madden 25. Hopefully I get to test it out. Obviously can’t say anything in detail but I’ll definitely be telling my homies whether it’s a new game or not lol

You know this is just a marketing gimmick, right, it's just a catchy marketing phrase they invented, the game is still animation driven. it's still the same game, now with catchy marketing phrase called boom-tech. They do this every year.
But they got team builder and actually have a good nfl draft with roger goddell presenting your players
I have the beta it’s 98% copy and paste.
So I played madden nfl 25 closed beta today for a few hours. Besides some animations all I really noticed was a slightly higher arc on passes which honestly might not be significant, guess I need to play more. I plan on doing skill position superstar to see if the flipped camera on special teams is still in the game from madden 23 but it felt and looked like madden 18. Also right now every rookie is a 71 ovr pretty much. Player overalls are from last August like Dalvin Cook at a 90 ovr. Even worse is the jerseys are from last year. No new Jets, Texans, Broncos, etc.

As usual, weight and physics do not matter. All that matters is speed, any new unnecessary player animations and what new player accessories that will be added in the game.
Boom Tech isn't a selling point for me. I've always said I'd come back (I haven't touched Madden since 18, not even Madden 18) if they ever bring back create a team. They're putting Team Builder into Madden this year, so with Maximum Football still not out and still not ready (and I'm an avid supporter), I'm debating Madden 25 now. If Maximum Football had come out last year, I wouldn't bother since I'd already be done setting up my franchise. However, I'm like 85 percent sure I'll get Maximum Football even if I get Madden, 100 percent sure I'll get it if I don't get Madden.

Trust me, you want animations. Physics only systems will look bad. Its just ragdoll shit. You want animations based on physics. Otherwise it will look terrible.
Also about the commentary, it mentioned that the old team is still in. There are 3 commentary teams.
Of course we want SOME animations, just not have the game taken over by animations... kinda takes away control from the player and just plays out like a CPU vs CPU game. To some extent.
Backbreaker’s tackle system was awesome. Madden’s animations have been garbage for years.
SNES Donkey Kong Country-esque comparison interpreted through the format of 3D intertwined with 2D graphics but in respects to physics.
I hated the passing mechanics in 24…played it for a game and haven’t since then…. If 25 is the same way forget about it
Madden has its issues but 24 was pretty smooth can’t help but be excited for the next.
I’m more inclined to give NCAA a chance over Madden due to it being a new experience and not a $70 roster update/ gameplay patch.
I’m hesitant to purchase either game though because EA.

I just played 2 games on the Beta and if you come back and say "Boom" tech didn’t make a difference or if you say its the "zame game" you know you will be lieing just saying. 4 a example i hit Travis Kelce on the with the hit stick as he was catching the ball and the ball hit his hands and popped in the air and almost got picked off by my safety. And i also tried to hit Pacheco coming through the hole and he juke me as i was trying to hit stick him and he broke the tackle. Also pass defense reactions are a heck of alot better among other things. Game is literally looking really good
Boom tech, hit stick, field sense, sapien, play like MAD. Put a bunch of words on a dart board, and you couldn't come up with anything better.

Update: this shit sucks. played the beta and it feels like shit to play. I know it’s a beta but my main problem is something they are not going to fix cause it’s the foundation of the gameplay. Everything feels stiff. To usering, running the ball, scrambling etc. it’s just another year since the last madden 25 where playing this game feels like I’m handcuffed and shackled at the ankle. Plus: graphically it looks good especially the practice area……that’s pretty much it😂😂😂everything else is not worth noting if it isn’t bad it’s whatever
EA stop using all of these new technology terms and just make the gameplay great. EA has set themselves up for over selling and under delivering every year with this stuff.

It is crazy that you've amassed almost a 100k followers being the voice of the people against mediocre Madden releases. If madden had just improved on their games, they could have prevented you from making any money or notoriety off of them. But no, they shall now deal with the relentless corrective force (the community) that they themselves manifested. Basically, the US government and Madden operate the exact same way.
