People always say Rock is dead, i always go "nope, it just moved to japan"
The fact that the lyrics and meaning of their songs is one of the reasons OOR is my favourite band 🤩 I was lucky to see them live in Australia just before the pandemic, and even though the venue was significantly smaller than this, they still had as much power, enthusiasm and passion as they carry in one of their arena tours. I was 3 months pregnant with my daughter when I saw them so I didn’t stay the full show but she’s nearly 18 months old now and the day isn’t complete to her unless her OOR live playlist is on - they are her favourite. She gets cranky if I put other music on 🤣 she dances, squeals and throws hands for every song ❤️

Just to mention, OOR has just announced their USA tour. Pre-sales have started, and official sales on 24 June. Fyi if you're keen to go. US/Europe are great places to see the band due to the small venues.

About as tight as a band can get. I have loved these guys for a bunch of years, now. I recall seeing a video of them playing to dozens at an American 3rd stage at one of those festivals, the same month they played to a half million in Japan. Most of the best music is now being made abroad because of how streaming services have defunded anything new. Love that comment about the boat. ;)

I saw One OK Rock live in Melbourne just before the pandemic and I can honestly say Taka sounds even better live which is just insane to think about because he’s already phenomenal

I love this version done for the live show that is a mix up of the Japanese and English lyric versions. The lyrics of the first Japanese portion they sing are beautiful compared to the same section in the completely English version:
