Hello People. You are welcome. I have recently visited Chandratal lake and Kunzum Pass from Manali in October 2021. This vlog will be the most thrilling & informative vlog on my channel so far. I visited Chandratal lake by HRTC Bus. I started from Manali and HRTC bus starts at 6:00 AM from Manali Bus stand for KAZA, SPITI VALLEY. I have given each and every possible detail needed for this trip in this video. The road conditions from Manali to Kaza road have been shown in this video. Also, this is the easiest way by which you can do a Budget trip to Chandratal Lake & Kunzum Pass. Additionally, I traveled solo. So just watch this whole vlog, you will come to know about everything about Chandratal lake & kunzum pass.

About Chandratal lake: Chandratal lake alias the moon lake is a crescent-shaped basin, surrounded by the gigantic Himalayan Mountains on all sides. The lake is located in the Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh at an elevation of 14100 ft. Earlier, the lake was the resting point for the traders and voyagers who used to come from Tibet or Ladakh.

About Manali to Kaza or Chandratal Road Conditions: Manali Kaza road anyways remains in a terrible state always. The map shows that it will take 4 to 5 hours to reach Kaza from Manali. But this is not true. From Manali to Batal only it took us 6 hours to reach. And total Manali to Kaza, the journey time is between 10-12 hours. So again, everything is detailed in the video.

About Kunzum Pass: Situated at 4,551 m above mean sea level, Kunzum La or Kunzum Pass is one of the gateways to Lahaul and Spiti valleys. It is one of India's highest motorable mountain passes and is located in Himachal Pradesh.

I am also planing to visit Chandratal In some days but got to know that the camps have been shut so any idea if there's any traveller or local bus which can take us to chandratal from Manali and reverse on the same day itself or anyother staying options apart from the camps?

Hey...no you can't book your camp online as there is no internet connectivity... Plus the camps always remains occupied usually...its very rare to find vacant...the price is in range of 1000-1500

we are planning to visit SPITI in 11-12 October on Bikes..is it a good time to go via Manali to Spiti ?. Also, when did you make your trip? 5th October ?
You can go spiti by this route before 15th October...make sure you don't extend after that if planning to go kaza via Manali. And this trip is of date 2-3rd October
