- My apologies for how long this is! I enjoyed the episode so much I couldn't cut any of it down.
I may be biased because I was there live but this may be my favourite episode of Critical Role ever!

Matt: "The problem with the Disintegration Trap..."
Liam: [begins having flashbacks]
Shoutout travis Willingham for just casually dropping a proposal outta fckin nowhere.
Fun fact: Spurt lasted about 22 minutes, Aggie lasted about 21 😊
I want to see the fan animation!
God damnit Travis! You go from not doing romance in D&D to fucking in-game purposing in front of 12000 people?! I'm so damn proud and impressed, and his laughter at Laura's shocked face is just peak husband energy!
He just proposed to his wife a second time… this time in front of….. a shit ton of people. lol
Time to renew those vows
Remember how red he got just asking to pretend kiss his wife’s pretend character? And now he’s just dropping the proposal live on stage like it’s nothing
New shirt? "I was a guest on Critical Role, and all I got was disintegrated."
Shout out to Daniel Sloss. It's tough to warm up a crowd when they didn't come for comedy. I've seen comic sets die before metal shows lol
I never understood rock bands that hire comics to warm up a crowd. Heck I went to a Sevendust show and the opener was a band that won some kinds of competition but they were "Rockabilly" style, totally different style and they got booed offstage. They were at least playing music, just not what anymone paid to see, I couldn't imagine a comic in that setting.
*Artagan is the Officiate to Jester and Fjords wedding*
Artie: We are gathered here toda-
*Ukatoa Appears*
Artie: NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.
*Banishes*
Artie: Its my day.
Jester: You mean my day?
Artie: yes, yes, our day.
This would be hilarious, but I will amend one thing, during thr panel that same weekend, Laura said Artie would likely be Jester's Man of Honor.
She did wonder if he would be that or the officiate, but then wondered if Caduceus would officiate. Taliesin immediately said "Of course, Caduceus would officiate." Which would be some fun real world parallels as Taliesin officiated Matt and Marisha's wedding.
Still, Artie would 1,000% be the MoH that would do anything to make the Bride's day perfect. And he would absolutely banish U'ka if he appeared.
I think we can all agree that Travis killed his costume as Forjd?
He prefers to be called Mr Tough.
The genuine energy and love from the fans as the cast comes out onto stage is amazing.
Travis Willingham: The man so nice, he proposed twice.
Have to be honest, was not expecting the Daniel Sloss opening routine 🤣❤
Which is even more funnier for me, considering he was the opener for the Al Murray show I went to years ago!
And now they have to have a one-shot wedding between Jester and Fjord!!! A MUST!!!
Agreed!
You know how I know the cast of this show is awesome? A man, in character, proposed *TO HIS REAL-LIFE WIFE WHO HIS CHARACTER WAS ROMANCING* and the crowd went nuts as if there was any doubt at all what her answer would be
I wanted her to call him "Oscar" instead.
Marisha getting the scream she's always deserved
Hearing that reaction for Ashley was so heartwarming considering this wasn't long after her breakup with that fuck up. It must have felt good to know how many people love and appreciate her.
Creepy aint a crime
I dont know what it was, but the intros of them all walking out and just SEEING everyone and how packed the room was, they all had this look of "we've finally made it" and it made me happy cry!
"You're unkind!" Fjord with the supportive husband thumbs up 👍
😂 I love these guys.
Luc’s “HE’S GOING TO BE OKAY RIGHT?!?”
Bloody hell thats amazing! I would never have thought back in the 80s when i sat in a cellar with my mates playing rpg that one day there would be people playing it on a stage with a huge crowd making them look like the beatles.
Love it!
How big audience?
Critical Role turned D&D in to Rock & Roll. and i'm loving it.
i believe about 12,500 people!
Nobody should ever underestimate nerds, I swear. Though we be little, we are Fierce.
Matts look at 4:49 with his makeup makes it an even better reaction
I wish we could see the minus music version of the theme as we all kept it together accapella style. Thanks Winter Mraz for organising the masks.
Dude imagine if Gygax could see this! Holy crap.
I want to know if they were introduced to the joys of Buckfast Tonic Wine after the show :D
This was amazing to see live, when people started stamping their feet it felt like an earthquake!x
I just noticed that Liam/Caleb’s action at the end was when he was granting Fortune’s Favor… or am I wrong?
Nope, you’re correct, that is generally how Caleb/Liam portrays casting that particular spell.
Wait, Aggy beat Spurt on shortest appearance? Never thought that would happen
Did Ashley break the record for most damage on a single hit in CR? I think Grog had it before (also from a one shot) and I think their total damages for the turn were similar, but his was with two crits so I'm curious
5th place.
@@MeerkatADVis it still Percy-Arkhan-Grog at the top three?
@floressikristine according to crit role it's Vax, Jester, Percy, Vax
@@floressikristineChecking stats, Percy is only top if you count the additional 52 damage dealt on the target's next turn after a crit with Bad News. Otherwise, Vax is top with 109, then Jester with 106, then Percy with 104, Vax with 102 and Yasha with 101. Veth at 6th with 100 damage is the last triple-digit damage single attack
@@georgercop And what, three of those are at live shows, yes? They know what to give their audiences.
Was this the largest live crowd they have ever performed D&D in front of, or was there a bigger one previously?
Yes
Nope, this was definitely the largest one yet. The part of the audience that was captured on camera was only the first couple rows and only on the main floor. There was auditorium seating to either side too. There were like 15 times as many people in the whole venue. Something like 12k people. It was insane.
@@theanyktosThank you for the confirmation, and I especially like the word "yet" in your answer. Who knows what this group of nerdy best friends could potentially be capable of...
@@culthosmythos 😁100%
I’m still so pissed I missed this

My name is Luc. This was cool
Is aggy the quickest pc guest or was is spurt? I thought spurt was a bit quicker
I think someone counted, and Aggy was 21 minutes to Spurt's 22.
Aggy was faster in terms of game time, but I think Spurt still holds the record for least number of rolls between introduction and death.
"Daniel, if you wouldn't mind joining us at the table REAL FAST?"
Matt wasn't kidding😂
I feel so bad for Daniel…
@@alioness-w-noregrets7471 - I feel like Daniel was specifically jockeying for this type of result. He hit 9, he hit a nat 20, and a nat 1, there was nothing else on that bucket list.
How many ppl where there?
Who's face is the mask the audience wears? Is that Sam, Travis, Matt? I can't tell.
Also, when Matt tells Caleb that he has a thought come to him when he's trying to get the collar off - I got the impression that that meant it might be dangerous to take it off through disenchantment. But then Caleb transmutes it to wood. I'm confused what exactly the warning was. Was it that the collar shouldn't be disenchanted specifically but that transmutation or another way to get off would be ok? Because he's fine at the end from what I can tell - they get it off with no problems. Liam says "that sounds like a tomorrow problem," so does that mean that the concern is that someone might come after them if they take it off or something? I don't understand what the concern is exactly and then how they handle it.
It's Sam, they were passed out by a critter before the show. I'm guessing while the intro was playing and it was dark in the theater everyone put them on so when the lights came back up it was just hundreds of Sam faces looking back at them.
The point preceding Liam's comment is the insinuation that other collars might have been disenchanted like Caleb's was, such as the collar they put on Trent to keep him from casting spells. Liam replied with "that sounds like a tomorrow problem" to say that he's going to worry about Trent being free at a later point. Matt wasn't trying to say that the collar shouldn't be removed, but that similar collars were likely disenchanted as well.
hope that made sense!
They're all so hot it's infuriating
Jokes from the introduction could be a little bit better. Wasn’t there myself but family of me was and enjoyed the event very much!
At least american audiences season their food 😂
"uk audience is better than any usa audience!."
Audience Proceeds to sing the intro a full second off time 😂😂😂
Idk about that one man.
Lets just say we're equal before theres another war. 😂😂😂
There is always one.
There was actually something wrong with the audio and it didn't play at all irl. So the live audience basically had the video playing without any music, it makes sense that they were off time 😅 They added the music in the edited version we got.
We were singing out of time because there wasn't any music lol. What you are hearing is just 12.5k people singing along to a silent video 😂
a second off from nonexistent audio ain't too bad
