- Steam Shovel has become pretty amazing this year! With all the new work they put into it, this is even better than A-line and maybe even Dirt Merchant?!
Steam Shovel is located in the Sun Peaks Bike Park, outside of Kamloops B.C.
There are some big boy jumps on here and even a few gaps, I think it's funny that it's only rated single black! It's a pretty long trail as well!

Wow, hats off to Sun Peaks for making the budget for a build like that and respect to the builders... looks amazing. You can tell they are serious about improving the bike park with stuff like this and then Canada Line at the more accessible end... and that XC stuff you can pedal too, will be taking the family up there in the future.
You should really come to Northstar CA next summer

I'm 68yrs and ride every day since I was a kid, but the engineering on these bikes are incredible.
I love biking, but at this time I've had my shoulder/collarbone broken enough, so I will enjoy this level of tec vicariously. LOL :)

I’ve never been to either bike parks I haven’t been on either run but I’ve seen lots of footage of the runs and I think steam shovel looks more challenging because it’s got more variety with the tight burms and drops and things like this. A line from what I have seen is just lots of big jumps over and over again.

@@yi-vanstudenov464 Lmao you'd think till you see the goofies cruising hardtails down the 9km flat green run all day. Plus lots of the ratings could go either way, some should be harder and some should be easier rated. Examples would be like arm pump being more of a blue then a black and mach being one of the hardest blue trails I've ever seen

built by Landmark Trailworks - they make the best and most original trails in the game right now. I think they're Idea is you need to learn a trail a little bit before you can get it dialled. The world needs more builders like them and less guys walking around checking things off of a IMBA pamphlet.

The angle into some of those jumps were pretty crazy. I feel they could have worked the run ups a little better so it wasn't so off camber. Especially considering it's labeled as a single Black.

How do you record? Is it just a chest strap for a GoPro? It's super smooth! love the content!
1:07 you can see the helmet mount.
GoPro Hero 7 and 8 has that sick HyperSmooth stabilization feature.
So gimbals are a thing of the past, thankfully. Only thing you need now is your own head stabilization.
I think it's all thanks to GoPro that we now have so many MTB youtubers. Footage doesn't look like crap anymore. Expect many more to pop up!
