Hardly anything to be thrilled about. And I really do not know why politicians in the Republic of Ireland hate the UK so much with a passion as to desperately try to keep the UK tethered in more ways than one to the EU. And this well is more interfering with UK's politics from Biden. I just wished the Republic of Ireland and the UK without these divisive people would unite kindly and politically. without having the nonsense from both of these people.

@MsMissy Worst performing economy in the G8, the rise of populism in politics, 5 prime ministers in 6 years, living standards outside of London plummetting and productivity rates within London also dropping. All the while the Irish economy has continued to grow, shifting its focus of trade to the US and mainland Europe via France. Continued invested from large multinational corporations to Dublin due to its highly educated work force, who speak English and have EU passports and the right to travel to the UK visa free.
They have become the US's partner in Europe now that the UK has left, and the Americans only care about money in this instance. And the EU market is significantly larger than the UK's.
This comes with its own issues of course such as a horrific housing crisis but the current trend is massiveky rewarding the irish public so why would they stop? We all know historically there is no great love in Ireland for the UK due to the atrocities committed during the colonial era, and the North continues to present issues. So I think it makes perfect sense for the Irish politicians to side with the better performing economies in Europe and the US as its working out really well for them.
I am Irish, but I live in London, I love the city, I truly do. But even the firm I work for have now implemented a hiring process for only EU nationals as we have a number of projects in Scandanavia and Germany. Its too hard to get Brits work visas. Ive been offered a pay package and I know its purely down to my passport and the fact I can work on any of our projects no issue.
Our Dublin office has also leapfrogged our London office in capacity of work and revenue.
I understand emotionally its tough to take but finacially it makes perfect sense what theyre doing.
