Explanation: Berlin 2011 (Columbia Halle) - This was the first club show after Paul has died. Corey called this tour a "celebration" of Paul Grays life. They decided to put on their old masks and place Pauls jumpsuit with his mask on stage. Before that gig they performed at a festival in Athens, Greece. This right here is the last time Corey has worn his old s/t mask (a transformed version). Right after (sic) he switched back to his AHIG mask, for comfortable reasons as he explained.

The fact you can actually hear sids scratches. Is a testament to how much this band truly cares about authenticity. They could have easily had him faking it but they didn’t.
Plus Sid wouldn't have been down for no mess like that.

I actually met Sid when he was in a wheelchair with his 2 shattered heels back in the day.
People sometimes think Sid and Craig are ‘useless’ members but they’re not, they add so much layer to the band’s sound. Slipknot uses samples & turntable scratches lot more than you think.
try listening behind the guitars/drums (especially in their early material); the stuff Sid does to manipulate turntablism to create a unique layer behind the guitar roars is actually really impressive.

@@GetReykjaviked it’s just like Chris in Chimaira, his sampling / keys in Pure Hatred wouldn’t make that song (and a few others) near as good without him. he adds a great deal of atmosphere to a good alount of Chimaira’s riffs.
i never thought they were useless but when i was younger i would get baked and listen to slipknot while hiding on the side of my house smoking and that’s when i was really able to hear each individual best!

If you look close enough at the first few clips, he has ear holes in his mask
They all wear in ears lol... No one uses stage wedges anymore. His mix is most likely the click, backing track (could be silent) parts summed from the front of house software programming. Probably has a little bit of drums, barely bass, vocals and some guitar in his mix but its mostly locked to the programmed software for the show. Same reason they dont use pedals on stage. Its all programmed to a click, and if they go off the click it tracks what they’re playing to adjust for it.

It was his sonisphere mask he had to make something similar because the original rotted away. They all wore the original red jumpsuits and some wore their original masks or at least same style of their original masks after Paul died
