Being a girl is hard but I have found ways around most things.
1. Most of my clothes I get for cheaper in the men's isle and for dresses I have a summer one and a formal one
2. makeup I mostly don't use it, lip balm is all I need
3. hair care, shampoo and conditioner= done! and I have very long thick hair
4. you really don't need many bags like the boys just backpack it and maybe have a nice one too
5. skin care. the occasional face mask but mostly just face soap and water
6. decorations aren't necessary
7. accessories beanie and belts
Good job! You found a way to prove Shiloh wrong by setting a better example for her to be less materialistic than she appears to be in this video. Just because there may be more selections of clothes, or hair-care products, or skin-care products for your gender does not mean you have to buy all of them. As a boy who used to buy and play with a lot of toys but is now teaching himself to live with less stuff and give it away, I know that there should be no rule about the skin or the hair of girls having to look a certain way if there is no rule imposed on boys. This is because I know that a "societal norm" does not always equal a law, and I am certain that you know it too.

As a girl who’s Mom is a regional manager for Estée Lauder therefore gets makeup and other products like brushes and bags free, I can’t relate to most of this, however, the clothes are scary accurate! A plain white tee for boys is like $5-8 in Canada, meanwhile, a girls plain white tee is $12-18 in Canada. $12-18!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?

I noticed one major flaw with this video: It frames being a girl as more expensive with false equivalency by showing more selections and options in clothing, skin-care and hair-care for them compared to boys. If Shiloh realized that she can just buy one thing and not the whole selection of bags and shampoo bottles, that would have been a clever way to subvert our exceptions and solve the whole "being a girl is more expensive than being a boy" problem in her own video!
