Thankyou Dicky always enjoy your show , missed your lovely daughter Victoria. I like how you always give a fair , balanced view.
You are a Marvellous man with an equally marvellous daughter. God bless you.
I enjoyed it very much. It was like a train wreck happening in slow motion and I kept thinking, how was this interview not picked up on as something that shouldn’t have taken place! Rufus Sewell was incredible
Feel sorry for Beatrix She obviously loves her dad and couldn’t see him being in the wrong 😢
Even though he's having sex with girls her age or younger. Sounds like the apple etc. The whole family are corrupt, and I don't believe a word they say. Is he still getting civil money for doing nothing?
Dear Dickie, thank you so much for your thoughts on the “Scoop” film and of course all the hindsight information 🙏 having seen the real interview when Emily Maitlis brilliantly shredded Andrew into pieces as she had been given the opportunity to do so by no one else but himself. Also I’ve read Sam’s book and so I was very curious to watch the film on Netflix. It’s absolutely worth watching and I was so impressed by the actors’ performances.
Best regards to you🫶🇬🇧 and your lovely daughter Vickie 🫶🇺🇸 all my best wishes for you both 🥰
It really showcased Prince Andrew's arrogance and cocky attitude. He thought he was in the right and his justifications made sense
Great film review! I loved "Scoop"! Having seen Andrew's interview when it happened, I really didn't think I wanted to relive that but I was curious and watched. I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging the storyline was and the behind the scenes lead up to that interview! I don't have any reference to compare any of the actors to their counterparts except for Andrew and that depiction was brilliant! The others performances stand alone for me since I'm not familiar with the other people involved but I believed every one of them in this film. I've recommended it to others!
Really surprised that you asked people to watch Scoop. I thought it was very well done as I also saw the full interview with Andrew. Thanks so much for your thoughtful analysis!
Thank you for your opinion on Scoop Dickie. I haven't watched it yet as I don't have Netflix at the moment, I tend to rotate my streaming channels. It's good to have your views so I will definitely watch it soon.
Has always it has been a delight to watch you .Thank you.
The one advisor to Andrew's devoted press secretary did try to stop it, but she, like the other's too close to him, insisted on pushing forward with it. Do you suppose they did some self examination after all the backlash and reflected on how daft they were to back their boy Andrew ?
I saw it and was immdiatly drawn in by the acting... whoa.... the acting was amazing
I thought it was really good. It was interesting to see how Sam McAllister got the interview and all the office politics around it.
❤😊🎉😊❤
Thanks again
It was fantastic!
Thanks for your review ❤
Dickie, just curious...do you think some of Andrew's advisors were secretly repulsed by his behavior and friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, saw it as a threat to Queen Elizabeth and simply wished to see him and his reputation implode? I know you do not have all the answers to these questions, but as a former press secretary, you are certainly experienced in the ways in which advisors work to protect the royal family. I truly believe that if you were in charge, Andrew never would have done this disastrous interview, but I still think his reputation would have suffered as reports of his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein swirled around the media. The FBI may have even succeeded in getting Andrew extradited to the United States to answer allegations and possibly defend against charges brought by Virginia Giuffre. Yes, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but his 12 million pound settlement to Ms. Giuffre, a woman he claims he never met despite being photographed with his arm around her waist, is quite damning.
I have questions after watching both the actual interview and Netflix’s Scoop. How could Prince Andrew have imagined that this interview would go well for him? What did he hope to gain by speaking publicly about it all when normally the Royal Family is silent on personal or controversial matters?
Just rewatching the BRF Millennium coverage; nice to see Dickie front and centre with HLMTQ and Prince Philip. Quite sad to see how markedly they aged after 2000. They look positively young in comparison.
So Andrew and aswell Beatrice betrayed the late Queen?
So does Eugenie as she is associated with Harry.
Shame on them!
Thank you for a wonderful episode of your broadcast.
People still actually pay to have Netflix??? 😂😂😂😂 you couldn’t pay me to watch anything they try to do. Much love to you and Victoria! 🇨🇦
As long as we don’t see those horrid sisters in public too much
I thought “Scoop” was very good. I vividly remember the interview and was horrified with the Duke’s responses and arrogant attitude. The Netflix show portrayed that well during the interview, and with the teddy bear scene too. So Andrew was arrogant long before he met Epstein, and probably still is. What are your thought? Is he as arrogant as he appears? Did he even listen to the Queen? Perhaps she was the only one who could tell him anything? And now of course, the King can certainly. He’s lucky he still has a free home and allowance. He’s lost a lot, but still much more fortunate than most !
I've been watching all the interviews...don't feel the need to watch the Netflix rendition...sorry.
