- This is the full documented story of how we built the first ever amphibious houseboat vehicle, "Beast Of Burden." Over 2 years documenting the build have been compiled into one video. From the origin story, to the maiden voyage. Thanks for watching!
The appropriately named “Beast of Burden,” is a merger between a 32ft houseboat (1967 Jeffboat Sunliner) and a 3-wheel tractor (Rickel “Big-A” Sprayer). Built by Theon of Theonomics. No rational reason why, he just thought it’d be cool.

Outstanding and brilliant! Thank you for persevering.
Wow. Nice mixture of vision, ambition, talent and insanity. Really seemed to turn out nicely, looks great.
This is BIG fun, really a very good moment in life. No matter what it is that You can do to make life worthwhile, every second counts. If You manage to add a lot of fun with a great deal of science inventions then: - this will be considered the future of humanity.
Thank you for such kind words. Beautifully put!
@@theonomicsbuilds6133 I really enjoy your healthy inventions fulfilled with great imagination. I would love to know what your next project will be. I also have great ideas, may We share our projects? I have this project of a world save + rescue vehicle that is mobile hospital, amphibian and can also fly.
One of the coolest projects on the interwebs by far!
I remember driving passed your shop once in a while for work, always had to see what was going on out front and was blown away with this build. Can't wait to see more of these amazing projects you come up with!
You are truly a crazy man. Absolutely love it!!!
I was looking at StabiX amphibious boats and found this brilliant reuse of equipment. Much faster on land than the StabiX and as a amphibious houseboat it doesnt need the bigger water speed of the StabiX. I love it when things are restored or reinvented/repurposed.
Really, only 3k views? This video deserves millions of followers and views.
Bro that dope that freedom 100% handle for the zombies or apocalypse
Great video and an awesome project! Happy to see you turned your vision into reality!
Dude awesome job! This thing is cool as hell!
holy smokes this truly is an ATV RV!
Damn son are you sure you're not a fla cracker outstanding job man love this
"cockpit! that's a funny word"😂😂😂
It's great that it worked out so well. I'm glad it did.
But in the test I would never have put my family in danger.
Maybe it's because I'm a bit lacking in confidence, but I would have done the test without people on board, lest there be a leak, a loss, as well as not knowing if the weight and buoyancy were well distributed.
But anyway, I'm glad it worked without mishaps, and that now you have one of the coolest amphibians of the place... maybe of the state or of the country, haha...
Very Cool congrats!
This is amazing!!!
Only 6k views?!!! I feel special the algorithms blessed me with this video
Really appreciate you watching. Quality over quantity right lol.
thats awesome . i want a small one thats practical dialy driver as well as live inside of it on land or water !!
I came here, because I had a similar idea, and I was looking to see if someone has already done it.
My idea is that a normal caravan fits perfectly inside a boat.
They are functionally coupled, making the caravan, is part of the boat, but at the same time, that the boat has its own without the caravan.
This way, you could travel almost anywhere in the world with the boat, and where the boat doesn't reach, the caravan does.
Of course, it's just an idea that I have no idea how to build.
Nor do I have the necessary materials or budget, haha....
NICE
Remember watching this 5 years ago! What's the current status and did the interior get finished??
It's still going strong! There have been modest changes to the interior and mechanics. I'll definitely have a update video this summer. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe.
Can you make a V shape deflector in front of the rear wheel?
It's challenging because of the rear wheel steering, but there might be something back there that could be done to make it more efficient. Really appreciate that thought
Have fun with the coast guard and getting it licensed.
It is on road and water. Thanks.
Hi I would like to build one just like you did. I was looking for plans on how to build one and I came across your video how did you find the parts you used.
Great to hear. Most of the parts were locally sourced from junkyards. Every build will be a little different and need different parts. Best of luck!
