And what differed between your 3 mcat takes? i’m studying for my second attempt and i was planning on taking notes in my prep book for content review and then making flashcards and reviewing these cards everyday. i have 6 months so i think i have enough time for note taking during content review
@iluhyuhswag do you already have notes with you? I would highly recommend that you don't take new notes and simply just revisit some of the same subject matter. Use Jack Westin's content review and constantly read their notes - they talk about content by foundational concepts as listed in the AAMC, and it's p comprehensive. Here it is: jackwestin.com/resources/mcat-content/aamc-mcat-science-outline If you still have uworld and used all their questions, then revisit the questions that you got wrong, and learn the logical steps the test writers used to get to each of the answers. Do this for everything, including the right answers you got. That way you’re better conditioned to doing this type of reviewing for actual AAMC material. Once you’re 1-1.5 months out from Test Day, hyper focus on doing AAMC stuff. Their logic is different from third party company, so definitely obsess over doing their questions. How did you utilize Jack Westin properly? If I use it, it's such a time suck. I agree it has great info; however, for me, the explanations are so dense and vocabulary heavy, that it is hard to understand what it is trying to say without sinking hours into studying each facet of a page.
From what I remember I just did CARS just to develop a consistent routine how to attempt questions after reading the passage. You don’t have to adapt to the logic of JackWestin bc they aren’t making the MCAT sections. Definitely do the question banks for all sections of the AAMC and go through every question as many times as you can. For the sciences, JackWestin has a great resource for all the sciences and psych/soc. Definitely consider reading their content for review
I want to start vlogging my premed journey. What equipment do you use? Trying not to spend a lot of money on this. I’m saving up funds for med school applications.
You can start with your phone! I literally just use my phone for making content. The only thing you'd need to spend money is good editing software to compile your vlogs. I spent money on final cut pro because I have mac, but you can use other software.

Most medical schools look at scores within the last 3 years from the time you submit an application, so it doesn't make sense to take it after high school unless you're in a college program that is very short.
So basically, do a total of 6 months of content review where you take a plethora of notes, finish the Kaplan and Blueprint series, and use anki. Then, make a CZcams video telling people not to take notes and do a thorough content review 🤨 Do you not realize that you not realize that a wrongie is a form of taking notes… Why are you acting as if building a solid foundation for the content is not essential, when you spent 6 months doing just that?
Because studying for the MCAT and studying for college exams requires two different studying strats. The Rongie method doesn’t require much note taking, and for the MCAT, I always tell people to study content review (regardless of whether that’s through taking notes) for about 2-3 months if possible, depending on their schedules. Both are different sets of exams. Both require different studying styles I feel
