I really enjoyed this podcast. Your shop is so charming with lovely yarns. It was nice seeing your sister and hearing your story. So many fun little quips and bits of information. You two make a great team. Your knitting projects are stunning and I really love the Stripes Sweater! The colors look fabulous on you. I agree about cap sleeves. I always have to make short sleeves reach my elbows. The hike footage was so pretty. You braved the wind and showed us beautiful scenery. The goodies at the end looked delicious. Thanks so much for all the time you put into this video.

A wonderful show today. I loved the tour of your shop, such beautiful yarns in gorgeous colours. Also especially appreciated the scenery at the end. I was in Cornwall over 40 years ago . Remember the fabulous coastline. I live 100s of miles from the sea in Ontario, Canada and when growing up in UK lived almost the furthest point from the sea too. It holds a special fascination for me.

Since you have so many yarn brands and lines particular to England it would be nice for us not near you to hear about a featured yarn for each episode. Maybe??? I little about the yarn and also the company who makes it. Not meant to be stressful but an educational portion.

Thankyou for another wonderful vlog Jane, I enjoyed every part and would leave you with the biggest rant in the world if I were to comment on all that I thought I should. I really enjoyed the conversation with Sandra, it was a conversation I would expect to be privy to while having a cuppa in your kitchen, just lovely, I enjoyed hearing the experiance and view points of both of you. Your shop is wonderful, I love how you say no to acrylic, thats brilliant and I wish more sellers would, and supporting the smaller producers is another big tick. I would be in your shop on a very regular basis if I lived in Cornwall.
I cant wait to see how your steeking goes, I have my eye on a Marie Wallen cardi that requires steeking and one day Im just going to have to bite the bullet myself. Ditto on the arm thing too, I dont like showing my arms, its just one of those places I hold some extra weight, I've just had a real challenge widening the arms of my ranuculus, its a beautiful knit but I had quite a challenge working out the best way to up that arm circumference, I think I've got it sorted after repeated knitting and tinking, my wrists are tinked right out, but now Im in stockinette heaven.
I'd better stop here, thankyou again Jane, happy knitting til next time.

It is delightful to see an enthusiastic knitter of 'a certain age' exploring her craft. As another enthusiast of a similar age, I too attempted my first and then a second steeking adventure , both on Kate Davies patterns earlier this year . Both went well. I used fine short scissors for mine, a hint I had seen somewhere and being amblyopic (lazy eye- fickle depth perception) was quite nervous . I made tiny cuts, making sure my eyes were focussed- and holding a piece of cardboard beneath, after reinforcing with a different coloured yarn to guide my way.
I appreciate your comments about upper arm coverage. I do have reasonable muscle tone in my upper arms, but my skin seems to flap about for several seconds after I stop moving and I see no need to diminish the beauty that surrounds me with this distraction.
Thank- you for this refreshing podcast.

This was a wonderful vlog and exactly what I had hoped with a tour around your shop. The patterns and yarn ideas are always such an inspiration and I love the style of your makes. I live in West Sussex and hope one day to have another holiday in Cornwall when I can visit your shop.

I am def paying a visit to shop in the summer, I’ll be staying in Launceston for a bit with my school friend. Yet again you are visiting somewhere I used to live haha - next time you maybe can pay a visit to St Nectans Glen and waterfall a little way up the road - I’m biased as it is owned by my cousin - he has been busy planting a woodland walk and now has peacocks! Cafe also lovely! Definitely jam first !!!

Hello ladies, a wonderful morning here in New Zealand on our Anzac Day, a tad cooler now but a sunny day so far.
Beautiful shop of wool and chatter with wool, more, more.
My late Grandfather came from Cornwall, maybe as far back as 1900's some time.
I am not sure of which area and if I do have any relations there. Love 2 come over, but that is a maybe 2.
Ur shop window is yummy and fallen in love with the lovely cream and coloured stripes tunic style garment in ur window.
U have lovely wool also, so an order from me soon of Cornwall wool will be merrily on its way 2 me soon, when I decide what yarn I will pick.
Heading in2 Winter now a tad cool in the mornings now and getting veges in the garden and Spring colour also.
Surprise me on another knitted garment in ur cute little shop window soon.
    Cheers❤

Thank you for such lovely feedback Crisy. That little Festival dress has been so popular. Petite knits also have the design in a sweater for children and adults too I think. Although we are nearly in May it’s still pretty chilly here at the moment but I am still able to wear wool so that makes me happy 😃

My grandmother's family was from Lands End in Cornwall, I loved your little dig at the end about jam first on scones!, its the only way our family does it, a tradition for the 100 years the family has lived in Australia. Gran taught hubby how to cook Cornish pasties too, and he got the job to bake pasties as he did better pastry, they were always a treat when out camping and picnicking as an extended family. Thanks for the fond memories.

Thank you. Being Cornish is in the blood so I am so happy to hear that these traditions have survived in Aus. My mum makes the best pasties and they are always better handmade. 😊
