- Hi everyone and thanks for tuning in! Today I'm so excited because I finally have my hands on the four new lipsticks from Lisa Eldridge's Summer Pinks Lipstick Collection! There are 4 gorgeous pink shades and I'll be doing lip swatches, cheek swatches & eye swatches plus going through my collection and seeing what dupes and similar shades I have. In case you're interested in picking any of these up, Lisa Eldridge will be restocking Go Lightly and Love of My Life as well as the Plush Velvet Matte lipsticks at 3pm (UK time) on Wednesday the 24th of July on her website. She also mentioned in the email that she will be doing one last limited run of Rainbow Spill and Skyscraper Rose in October later this year!
I'm having a rare moment of "speechlessness" -- as a writer too -- as I try to describe in the most perfect way how much I enjoyed this video. I can't get the 1 - 2 short perfect sentences, so here are my jumbled thoughts:
1. These all look beautiful on you! I'm just incredibly inspired by how these lip colors really work with your tones and brighten up your entire face. I seriously thought about getting these, but these types of shades in my experience has never worked for me. But ... now I might have to rethink this...
2. I love how you created such sophisticated and stunning looks by going monochromatic. If you ever want/need to go minimalistic with your morning beauty routine, you could rock these 4 looks on 4 of your 5 workdays of the week and be the coolest beauty where ever you go!

Aww thank you so much! If it was any other release I would have passed on a few of these shades like Love of My Life and Go Lightly but they looked so pretty on the models and Lisa that I had to try them and I'm glad I did as they're shades I wouldn't have otherwise bought. Haha honestly I've been doing those monochromatic look so frequently these days. It's such an easy, no fuss look!

I got my go lightly. The moment it got released. It took 4 days for me to get it. I love it. I am looking forward of getting some more of her pink collection next time.

Haha aww that is so sweet! I'm glad you're mum loves it. It's one of my favourite shades!! My mum on the other hand hasn't been wearing much makeup now she's working from home!

Yes! Using Lisa's red lipsticks as monochrome eyes lip cheek colour had become my go-to quick healthy look. They are so flattering. I'm still playing around with the new collection but the formulas have equally blown me away. I'm not a pink gal but Lisa is so good with colour, they all will be regularly worn. They make my lips look amazing, and the mattes are the first non drying, can't feel it formula that works on me. I find they look best rubbed or blotted down a bit and they wear down really well. Can't wait for the autumn collection, i love those types of colours!

Canada and Australia are united in slow-ass shipping. You guys win this time though, as I think most Canadians are still waiting to get their lipsticks from what I've seen online. But you've given me my second wind of excitement for these! And re Breakfast at Tiffany's, I've never really quite grasped the thing about it either. I mean, she kicks her cat out and Mickey Rooney is unwatchable?

Oh I had forgotten about strawberry suede!! Really cool to see the comparison, I never got to find it at the time! I do love skyscraper rose on you a lot, but all of them suits you very well, I find it magic how they brighten any completion I've seen them on so far. She can do no wrong in my eyes
Thanks so much - so true! You can really tell that she has put a lot of thought into each lipstick. I prefer this kind of small, curated launch than that of 20+ lipsticks! They will be worn and cherished!

Very interesting review, Melissa: thank you! Unfortunately both times I've tried buying Lisas pink collection they were sold out already. Will try in autumn, when she'll restock them. And in the meantime may be I'll try some of the dupes you mentioned. Thanks again and best regards. Ah, by the way: was luckier with her reds, last winter, and litterally adore velvet colour and unique consistency of velvet ribbon and velvet jazz. Perfect for me, mature girl! ;)

Thank you for not only swatching the lipsticks (and trying them on your cheeks!) but the dupes, too! It's so hard to stop thinking about limited edition makeup isn't it? Colourpop Trixie is also gone unfortunately:( I contacted the Lisa Eldridge team today and I was so happy to learn that she does plan to re-release Rainbow Spill due to the demand! Crossing my fingers it's going to be this summer.

This was so interesting as I picked up 'Go Lightly' too expecting it to be more coral peach salmon color but on my lip colour it's more pink and highlights my dry patches on the lips:( Not as moist as my Clarins Joli Rouge for example.l for me. On skin on face it's looks similar to how yours looked. My skin tone is medium with yellow undertones but most important in choosing lipstick is the color of one's lips as that will show the resultant color. I loved the mat lipsticks they looked wonderful on me but sadly go lightly which I had such high hopes for isn't as moisturizing on me.
Rainbow Spill looks good on you but without a doubt Skyscraper Rose is the best. It looks good on me too I bought that. It compares to my YSL mats and Chanel and Lancome without being drying but the color is WOW! P.S. I love you do a comparison too I did that too when I got mine but agree Skyscraper Rose color is definitely the best!
Yeah it definitely doesn't go over dry patches very well. I wouldn't wear this lipstick if my lips were super super dry. The joli rouge ones definitely go on better for dry lips and i also find my Suqqu ones are excellent in that they don't accentuate fine lines! Glad you're enjoying Skycraper Rose 🥰❣

Oooh nice. I am looking at buying these for summer. I may have to go easy (go lightly haha) with the shades as I’m old but I can share them with my daughter who will rock these bolder shades... it helps me justify the cost too. Go Lightly isn’t available but I am happy with a Dior coral shade I already own. Thanks for sharing!
Ooh that's a great idea. Funny you say that because I think the older you get, the more you can get away with! My mum wears much bolder lipsticks than I usually do and she looks fabulous in them.

Not a fan of breakfast at tiffany's either, the yellowface character kinda ruins it for me... still tempted to pick up go lightly in the restock (which occurs on my birthday, seems fated!)

Gorgeous! I didn't think I would want any of these but now...!😀😀I think honestly that although I'm a lot lighter I am way more yellow toned then you are. I find you look good in every colour, blues, pinks, purples ! (my lips are rather cool toned, mauve-pinkish, that's why I find pink lipsticks usually unflattering, but i recently tried out some layering and a muted, deep warm pink would be ok, even nice on me😊) take care! (you look so radiant and youthful!)
Thank you! 😘🥰 Haha I wish! Some nudes and pinks look awful if they are too light or cool toned. I think pinks in general you have to find one that suits your undertone and skintone otherwise it can look very strange. Layering is a good option if something doesn't work 100%!

Hello Melissa! I bought Go Lightly and I've been wearing it any chance I get when I go out to dinner or see friends - its summer where I am so its just the perfect time of year to wear it. You look SO amazing in the Skyscraper Rose - it really does brighten you up in the most flattering way.
I missed out on the Velvet Reds on the first round so I am definitely going to order Velvet Ribbon and Velvet Jazz when it opens up this Wedn . It just looks like the perfect shades to use in the fall/winter months!

Thank you! I believe the plush velvet are permanent so she will eventually be restocking those and the other two insanely saturated lipsticks are coming back in October. Hopefully she's going to be releasing a substantial quantity!

@@melissagold2559 funnily enough rainbow spill is my favourite and that was the one I was "meh" about when i saw the release haha but it has such a unique vibe! It reminds me of the Barbie pink from when i was a kid in the early 90s! Haha! Well I'm happy you found a nice coral for yourself, I guess I'll just have to keep looking! :)
I too was so looking forward to 'Go Lightly' it looked fabulous on Lisa lips but sadly on mine it doesn't look as good and color looks more pastel pink than coral so a bit disappointed as it was my first purchase of hers. It also highlights dry patches on my lips :( Skyscraper Rose however is awesome color and looks good on me without highlighting any flaws.
@@midnightbazaar Same! I was so puzzled because it looked so beautiful and coral on Lisa but when I put it on it looked like i coloured in my lips with a pastel pink highlighter texter! Lol! I thought this can't be the same lipstick haha but I see I'm not the only one... so bizarre!!

Well I am happy for you. You have been very lucky. I ordrer mine the 5 july and they have no arrive. Today is 23 and I live in Spain. Still waiting. One week ago Lisa’s team wrote me my lipsticks were in Italy,!,,,,I hope one day they’ll find their way to Spain.

Have you tried putting multiple layers of the lipsticks? I saw even lisa had too build these up.
Yes they can built up but I prefer a sheer layer personally.

I hated Go Lightly. It was the worst lipstick I’ve ever tried.
Oh no - why is that? The shade or the formula? My sister actually tried it on too the other night as she was contemplating getting it and she didn't like how it looked on her.
Melissa Gold the formula was so bad for me. It sunk into my liplines and stayed there even if I blotted it. I tried dabbing it like Lisa said on Instagram but it didn’t work at all. It didn’t apply evenly and I was so disappointed. Thank goodness I managed to get a refund because you don’t usually get them for used make up in the UK!
