- In this segment, we present a complete interpretation of the story of the comapnions of the Cave, mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf (Chapter 18 of the Quran).
We provide a detailed explanation of this critical story and illustrate how it includes advanced knowledge and instructions to our beloved Muhammad SAWS. We also show how wrong the traditional books of Tafseer were in their erroneous interpretation of this story.
Along the way, we explain several methodological instructions provided in this marvelous story.
We provide a Quran-based understanding that shows the true meaning of this story and we refute those in our tradition who were at best negligent, and at worse intentionally harmful to the proper engagement of the Quran.
For more than 2 years, we have demonstrated how wrong the traditional interpretations have been. We demonstrated that traditional ‘scholars’ regularly imported claims from external sources (including the Bible and the New Testament) and super-imposed them over the QurꜤān!

Alhamdullillah! Great segment. The traditional interpretation leafy me with a lot of questions marks. But this segment solved all the questions marks. A dog can not be a physical dog because it does not fit the story. Now I understand I understand the story better.
You also need to use mathematics knowledge to understand this story from a Set A, a Set B and Set C. There is a subset from Set A which is SetA1. Use this method to rewatch the segment and you will understand it 100%.
Dr. Hany is a genius if you do not know yet. We need to keep watching all his segment. I fell in love with his way of interpreting Quran. No additional ingredients ( narrations from Prophet) , nothing added. ONLY Quran can explain Itself.

A very enlightening episode. In some countries like Jordan and Turkey I’ve visited archeological sites where the Ministry of Awwkaf (Religion) claims is the site of the Sleepers of the Cave. Very sad indeed!

10 years ago I came across my neighbour with his friend conversing to each other, by chance i heard one say to the other that"the Quran is great book but in hands of wrong people".
I was astonished to what i heard from those two Christian men.

I used to follow a scholar that interpreted this same story and claimed that we too need to retreat from the city to protect from the corruptions of modern civilization (i.e. Dajjal). What a disastrous claim! I was so stupid to swallow that chicken. Alhamdulillah, the knowledge presented in this channel helped me see the truth.

SubhanaAllah I can totally relate to your story, I used to follow and believe that so called Sheikh 💯 I was so misguided I even bought several books DVDs etc I even made my children watch his lectures and I also tried to convince them to accept the Sheikh's teaching. I spent many years trying to escape the cities from Dajjal to save myself and my children and failing miserably each time because of economic reasons etc I was so stressed out and depressed but one thing I never gave up on, was asking Allah to guide me to the straight path and protect my thoughts from being misguided and ending up in Jehhanam. Surely Allah did, from his mercy towards anyone seeking guidance and for that I'm so humbled and thankful for his guidance towards coming across the marvelous Quran channel now I understand that I was in Jehhanam without even realizing it what a bad place to be!

Syukran, to be able to view another segment and on a Surah that created many attention and for many reasons. For the very least, this time we able to learn more on the 'Insights' rather than the 'adornments' (or face value of the superficial layer story).
In this segment our tayr had been very kind by being extra detailed and elaborate in the interpretation so that we are not confused with the pronouns, to enable us to follow the story closely.
My brief takeaways are:
1) The Surah, or rather the first 31 Ayat is not what we used to think or being told.
2) The prominent group of "Sleepers in the Cave" are not good people. The Al-fityah (including our beloved SAWS) and (subsequently) those among the main group who were revivified (3rd group) were the good one.
3) The Surah are not about legends or for inspiration but contains many valuable information for our beloved SAWS, his young companions and us the readers of the Qur'an, such as:
a) Foretelling Muhammad SAWS about events in his life (especially concerning his 'journey' to Madinah and part of his time there).
b) Instructions and warnings.
c) How to extract the concealed. information or understanding (ie. it provides the methodology).
d) Lesson or instruction for direct guidance especially for those who seek.
e) And a warning that Allahh SWT do not tolerate any association with regards to his linguistic discernment.

Alhamdulillah every week in the past i always thought about when will the story about ashabul kahfi will be disclose on this channel including this week too and all i can say is Alhamdulillah the Qur'an is truthful the evidence are irrefutable and the story is now clear with certainty and as well coherent with the rest part of the Qur'an. Now we understand the reasons why the RASUL was instructed by Allah s.w to set strong security measures whenever he went to establish the prayers for (ALLADHINA AAMANUU) as their prophet in the early Saturdays (after Friday). ALLADHINA KAFARUU were a big problem.

We blindly trusted corrupt Tafseer and interpretation, and it was going from generation to generation. Our so-called scholars are still busy selling their stupid versions of stories, and those stories are not benefiting us from age. We were going down and down. Now I understand why Allahh swt is not helping our ummah. Our ummah entirely believes in corrupt Tafseer, interpretations, ulama, ustazs, and sheikhs who are not on the correct path. I don’t have words to thank Allahh for his mercy upon us for disclosing the truth about ashabul kaif. There is so much to learn and understand in this segment. I notice a disturbing revelation with these rejecters; they seem to exhibit streaks of incertitude and less seriousness about the Qur'an, they do not believe the Qur'an on its own merit. They come barging with hadeeth, hadeeth, hadeeth!
You either believe the Qur'an is Allah's only present and complete scripture available to all, or not. Really, it's that simple.
Exactly, they don’t believe in the Quran, they say they do but their actions and opinions prove they don’t.
They are doing the opposite of 18:3, does not persist in it (Quran) and desiring substitute (mindunihi aulia)
It's a hard felt comment and well received. For lots of reasons given the state Muslims are in now while considering difficult past Islamic history. Meanwhile to be fair and humble from my own perspective and experience in this life , this type of soul searching and reality of facing one's own true beliefs / faith will and has always been a treadmous amount of responsibility for the average person to handle and accept and to have a need to act upon . I am almost for certain many of us who follow this channel are very critical in who we speak to about it.

A question on our tradition and conviction and beliefs of saying the phrase "In Shaa Allah"
From your translation of QS 18:23-24, I would take it as if Muhammad saw was instructed to say the phrase evidently as a decoy or delay or deflecting strategy when he were to attend to the "Ashaab ul Kahf".
Our traditional narrative also is using the same verse as quranic evidence to promotes all muslim to the phrase "In Shaa Allah" into practise/ibadat.
Perhaps you could shed some light on this.

Alhamdulillāhh, as usual this segment is a quick catch for me as I have pondered over the issues for a long time but couldn't get a clear understanding as it is now.
Indeed it is so crucial to have questions to every thing we don't understand so when the answer is given it immediately eases the core to digest and grap it. Alhamdulillāhh. The reverse is true for those who do not ask in the first place, they may find any understanding/explanation contradicts their traditional understanding is hard to swallow or even reject it abruptly.
If anyone hard to find this, it is good so they would think and do research on it hopefully. However, have they ever found it was hard too to accept the traditional understanding of the Quran the first time they knew it and done research about it? Or simply a blind following.

Is it wrong if i take a lesson from this Zikr, then apply it in my situation in my family? That I have to build a secrecy, while conforming in some points that is general and agreeable but not to dig to deeply?
But, I cant conform with the traditional rituals though, i just plainly, directly rejected this ritual, on their face.
What do you guys think? Should I conform to the usual tradisional rituals or not?

The cave is nearly always below the mountains. It can be used to hide or hoard things - a metaphor for a segment of Bani Israel who kept some divine secret. For explorers of the cave, they have to go below the jibaal (mountains) - a metaphor for believers who sieve through the jibaal (compositional units) of the verses of the Quran. Without a guide or a Tayr, how do we expect to learn all of these (on our own)? Reference the Quran 16:43, 21:7.

Question: Can the people of the cave ( the bad people) be refered also to the ayat where Allah Swt speaks" of the donkey carrying the books( I believe it was refering to Yahia or his community)" ? Alhamdulillaah. Indeed these instructions are applicable to most, if not all of us. We need to stay in the cave for now, and concur to some of the erroneous rituals of the majority. Otherwise, we will be branded as ‘gone astray’ or murtad.
